    摘要: A communication device reads and stores in memory a state value which was utilized for operating a communication subsystem during a wake-up period of the communication subsystem. The device then causes the communication subsystem to enter into a sleep mode. Subsequently, the device causes the communication subsystem to exit from the sleep mode and enter into a current wake-up period. The stored state value is provided to the communication subsystem for use in operating the communication subsystem during a warm-up period of the current wake-up period. After the warm-up period of the current wake up period, a current state value is provided from a state controller to the communication subsystem for use in operating the communication subsystem during the wake up period. The current state value is determined based on a detected signal level of a current signal received in the communication subsystem.

    摘要: The application relates to wireless networks and more particularly to a method of reducing factory test time of receiver sensitivity in a Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) wireless device. Under TIA/EIA/-98E, the radio frequency (RF) sensitivity of a CDMA wireless receiver is the minimum received power, measured at the mobile station antenna connector, at which the frame error rate (FER) does not exceed 0.5% with 95% confidence. In order to reduce the test time of FER test method, the relation between correlated energy (or Ec/Io) and FER is determined using simulated traffic and the correlated energy (or Ec/Io) measurement is then used as the test parameter on like models to achieve the same or superior test confidence with significantly reduced test time.

    摘要: The settling time of a wireless receiver is reduced by providing a previously utilized gain control state value to an amplifier of a receiver front end during a warm-up portion of a wake-up period of the wireless receiver which follows a sleep period.     摘要: The power efficiency of a transmitter is optimized through control of a selected aspect of the transmitter, for instance, a parameter of a power amplifier within the transmitter. The control of the aspect is based on a generated indication of desired average transmitted power. Based on this indication, a hardware path produces a first adjustment signal and a software path produces a second adjustment value, where the second adjustment value has been previously determined to correspond to the particular indication of desired average transmitted power through calibration. A difference between a first adjustment value, which is based on the first adjustment signal, and the second adjustment value is used to produce a correction signal, which is used to alter the first adjustment signal and produce a signal to control the selected aspect of the transmitter.
