Abstract:
A method and apparatus is disclosed for calculating a Doppler signal spectrum. The method includes a step of estimating parameters of a Doppler signal, and a step of resolving a predefined spectrum function using the parameters, the spectrum function being at least a function of the parameters characterizing the strength, frequency center, and frequency deviation of the Doppler signal. The apparatus includes an estimating module, a smoothing module, and a calculating module. According to the Doppler signal spectrum calculating method and apparatus of the present disclosure, the obtained spectrogram has very high time and frequency resolution without requiring any complicated operation. Thus, a higher quality spectrogram can be obtained at a very low cost.
Abstract:
The present application provides a method for generating dealiased Doppler signals in a spectral Doppler system. The method comprises the steps of: filtering each of two quadrature components of obtained quadrature Doppler signals by using at least four filters in at least four parallel branches respectively so as to output eight signals, wherein the at least four filters for each quadrature component are equally divided into two groups, and outputs of each group of the filters are to be used for Doppler signals processing in one of forward and reverse directions, and coefficients of the different filters in each group can be interleaved with each other to form coefficients of a desired filter; interleaving and accumulating the output eight dealiased signals, according to direction and quadrature component of the output Doppler signals, to obtain forward and reverse dealiased Doppler signals F (t) and R (t).
Abstract:
A torch tip for a plasma arc torch includes a body having a first end, configured to attach to the torch, and a second end, where an end wall is disposed. A plasma exit orifice is formed in the end wall. At least two castellations are formed in the end wall. At least one slot is disposed between two castellations. Each slot is defined by a first and second castellation wall, and a slot floor. The first castellation wall is opposite the second castellation wall. The torch tip has at least one of the following characteristics: a slope of the slot floor within the at least one slot tapers in an outward radial direction relative to the plasma exit orifice toward the first end of the body, or a distance between the first and second castellation walls along the slot floor increases with distance away from the exit orifice.
Abstract:
A method and an associated computer program product, computing system, and process for supporting computer infrastructure for prompting an end user with a preferred sequence of commands which performs an activity in a least number of inputs. The method begins by monitoring a computer system for both input received from the end user and state transitions as a result of the computer receiving the end user input. The input received facilitates an activity the end user whishes to execute; the state transitions being the result of executing the activity. Next, defining the input received from the end user in a meaningful way. Then comparing the input received with at least one other command sequences that accomplish the same activity as the end user's input. Finally, prompting the end user with a preferred sequence of commands which performs the activity with the least number of inputs possible.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for tissue border detection using ultrasonic diagnostic images includes searching an initial central point of a target region in an ultrasonic diagnostic image of a detected target and determining an initial region border based on the initial central point and with the initial central point being a pole, searching a position of a target region border along a polar line across the pole and from an initial region border, and calculating an energy function of intensity distribution at different positions, wherein a position corresponding to a minimum value of the energy function of the intensity distribution is the border position of the target region.
Abstract:
A pendant mounting structure comprises a main body, a cantilever and two latching elements. The main body includes a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The cantilever protrudes from the first surface. The latching elements protrude from the second surface. The pendant mounting is separately manufactured and latched to a housing. Thus, when an external force exerted on the cantilever is more than the offset limit of the cantilever, the cantilever could be cracked to protect the housing from being damaged.
Abstract:
A reflector assembly for use with an electronic device includes a light guiding member forming a light-guiding passage having a light guide assembly in the form of a plurality of lens assembled therein, the light guiding member is assembled in an electronic device having a display window formed in the front surface and a camera module formed in the back surface. An end of the light guiding member aligns with the camera module, the other end of the light guiding member extends to the front surface of the electronic device, outside lights can enter into light-guiding passage and be reflected by the lenses and reach to the camera module.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a functionally graded glass/ceramic/glass sandwich system especially useful in damage resistant, ceramic dental and orthopedic prosthesis. The functionally graded glass/substrate/glass composite structure comprises an outer (aesthetic) residual glass layer, a graded glass-ceramic layer, and a dense interior ceramic. The functionally graded glass/substrate/glass composite structure may further comprise a veneer on an exterior surface. The present invention also provides a method for preparing a functionally graded glass/ceramic/glass sandwich system. A powdered glass-ceramic composition or a glass tape is applied to the accessible surfaces of a dense alumina substrate to thereby substantially cover the substrate surfaces. The glass of the composition has a CTE similar to that of the substrate material. The glass-ceramic composition is infiltrated into the dense substrate by heating the assembly to temperatures 50-700° C. below the sintering temperature of the substrate.
