摘要: Buffers are arranged in a concentrated manner in a region distant from pads. The region refers to a region in a main region of a semiconductor integrated circuit, except for a central processing unit, a non-volatile memory and a volatile memory. As the buffer requiring a large area is not provided around the pad, a pitch between the pads or a pitch between the pad and an internal circuit (such as the central processing unit) can be made smaller and hence a chip size can be reduced. Therefore, a semiconductor integrated circuit capable of achieving a reduced chip size can be provided.

摘要: Ribs for defining pixel cells are formed in the shape of a lattice, and sustain electrodes and scan electrodes are disposed near the ribs. The electrodes are spaced apart in each pixel cell, and the sustain electrode and the scan electrode are each cut away between pixel cells arranged in the row direction to provide each pixel cell with individually separated electrodes. In addition, between pixel cells adjacent to each other in the row direction, the sustain electrodes and the scan electrodes are connected to each other by means of a sustain-side bus electrode and a scan-side bus electrode, respectively. This makes it possible to provide a high luminous efficiency. Furthermore, each pixel cell is provided with a wide distance between the electrodes and thereby with a large effective opening portion. Thus, this provides only a small amount of reduction in intensity when the electrodes are spaced apart between the pixel cells arranged in the row direction in order to increase the luminous efficiency. The sustain electrodes or the scan electrodes can be connected to each other or shared between pixel cells adjacent to each other in the column direction and thus the effective opening portion can be made larger, thereby making it possible to provide a further increased intensity and luminous efficiency.

摘要: To provide a display device for enabling preferable Japanese hyphenation while suppressing restriction due to a character code system. A font data memory unit (50) stores font data which contains a plurality of font records each containing font information for displaying a character and line feed control information for controlling line feed conducted before and/or after the character. A character string display unit (54) displays a character string based on the font information relevant to all or some of the plurality of font records. A line feed control unit (52) determines a line feed position in the character string being displayed by the character string display unit (54) based on line feed control information relevant to characters included in the character string.

摘要: The present invention provides an AV data recording apparatus and method that facilitate various processes concerning a recorded video, including continuous reproduction, digital transmission, file operation, partial deletion, and post-recording. The AV data recording apparatus divides an audio signal and a video signal into transport packets having a predetermined unit length, assembles a plurality of transport packets as one transport stream and executes recording. Accordingly, this invention enables managing whether a logical block is used or not, detecting a continuous data area comprising plural logical blocks that ensure realtime continuous reproduction, and determining logical block numbers of continuous data areas to be recorded. As a result, the transport stream is recorded continuously on a plurality of detected continuous data areas.

摘要: An optical scanning apparatus includes a light source, a light source driving unit that turns on the light source according to image information, a deflector that deflects and scans a light beam emitted from the light source according to sinusoidal vibration, and a scanning/imaging optical system that guides the light beam from the deflector to a scanned surface. The scanning/imaging optical system satisfies two conditions, i.e., (1) provided that the deflector moves in such a manner that an angular velocity is constant, linearity is made larger at a most peripheral image height than at a central image height within a range of an effective writing width, and (2) when a deflection angle of the deflector has a sinusoidal characteristic, the linearity is made smaller at the most peripheral image height than at the central image height within the range of the effective writing width.
