摘要： A protectively coated sliding member comprises a sliding member body, an anchor layer formed thereon and which consists of (a) a hydrocarbon or hydrocarbon-based plasma polymer film, (b) a diamond-like film, or (c) an ion-plating film of a metal or metallic compound, and a protective coating formed on the anchor layer and which consists of a hydrocarbon or hydrocarbon-based plasma polymer film in case where the anchor layer consists of (a), a diamond or diamond-like film in case of (b), or an ion-plating film of a metallic compound in case of (c). The protective coating is of greater hardness than the anchor layer.

摘要： A tape cassette has a housing and a pressure pad apparatus mounted within the housing for bringing a magnetic tape into direct contact with a magnetic head. The pressure pad apparatus includes a pad, a spring joined to the pad for imparting a pushing force to the magnetic head, and a holding member mounted within the housing for holding the spring at two points spaced from each other. The effective length of the spring is greater than the distance between the two holding points of the holding member.

A disc cartridge 10 has an upper shell 12, a center frame 14, and a lower shell 16 clamped to one another. A center frame opening 20 and a lower shell opening 22 expose a recording surface of a recording medium contained between the center frame 14 and the upper shell 12 downwardly, and a reinforcing member 24 integrally couples the ends of the center frame opening 20, and a lower shell reinforcing member 26 integrally couples the ends of the lower shell opening 22.

The disk storage case has a simple structure and a lightweight. A plurality of disk storage cases storing the compact disks and others can compactly be stacked and packaged, and by insertion of the cylindrical rod into the through hole and by packing with film, it may easily be packaged without tilting, and the package of a plurality of the disk storage cases can be produced simply and effectively.

摘要： A disk cartridge has a disk accommodated in a casing having a center aperture and access windows. A pivotal shutter is pivotally mounted for closing the center aperture. A rotary shutter is rotatably mounted for closing the access windows and interlocked with the pivotal shutter. A first slidable member is cooperatively coupled to the rotary shutter, and a second slidable member is opposed to the first slidable member and adapted to be slid upon engagement with a shutter actuating member when a disk drive is loaded with the disk cartridge. The first and second slidable members having racks on their opposed surfaces interlocked through a gear mechanism for transmitting the motion of the second slidable member to the first slidable member, which in turn, drives the rotary shutter.

A rotary shutter formed with a plurality of window holes at positions corresponding to the plurality of pickup insertion holes and rotatably provided at the driving shaft insertion hole as a center is provided. A turning shutter having a center at a position separate from the center of the rotary shutter to be rotatable with respect to the center for opening and closing the driving shaft insertion hole is provided. The turning shutter and the rotary shutter are operated cooperatively by charging or removing the disk cartridge in or from a recording/reproducing disk player to open or close the driving shaft insertion hole and the plurality of pickup insertion holes of the case.
