Abstract: Presented are systems and methods for enhanced random access procedure. A wireless communication device may receive a configuration indicating whether a common Random Access Channel (RACH) resource is allowed for use from a wireless communication node. The wireless communication device can determine, based on the configuration, whether to use the common RACH resource after a failed random access procedure using a specific RACH resource.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to mobile core network information dissemination by a wireless access network node to wireless terminal devices to assist the wireless terminal devices to perform manual core network selection. In particular, a multi-stage process is disclosed for dissemination of human readable network names for core networks supported by a wireless access network node. A human readable name presence indicator may be disseminated with network IDs of the supported core networks. Actual human readable names may be separately disseminated by the wireless access network node either spontaneously or on demand in response to requests from the wireless terminal devices.

Abstract: A wireless communication method for use in a wireless terminal is disclosed. The method comprises receiving, from a wireless network node, a system information block of an anchor cell, wherein the system information block of the anchor cell comprises a radio resource configuration for at least one non-anchor cell; selecting the anchor cell or one of the at least one non-anchor cell based on the radio resource configuration; and performing a random access procedure in the selected cell.
