    摘要: A verification apparatus for security documents having at least one diffractive and/or reflective security feature, includes a support device having a support surface or plane for receiving the security documents, an optical capturing device, an illuminating device for illuminating the security document, and an evaluation device which evaluates information detected by the capturing device to perform a verification of the at least one security feature. A screen is disposed between the support surface or plane and the capturing device. Light diffracted or reflected by the at least one security feature can be imaged on the screen for detection by the capturing device. The screen can be controlled with regard to at least one optical property, particularly the opacity thereof. A verification method, wherein the opacity of the screen is varied, is also provided.

    摘要: An apparatus configured to discriminate the genuineness of a certified paper by exposing the paper to a light source and transporting the paper through an environment of an alternating-current electromagnetic field. Light detectors detect the light reflected from the paper and the light emitted by a fluorescent ink on the paper and output a waveform corresponding to the intensity of the detected light, reflected light, and the detected emitted light as the paper is scanned. The resulting waveforms are used to discriminate the genuineness of the paper. The fluorescent light and reflected light can be optically split and directed to separate detecting devices. Furthermore, the alternating-current electromagnetic field can be controlled by a voltage controller and configured to be driven only when the sensor detects light from the fluorescent ink.

    摘要: An anti forgery and/or anti-theft system is disclosed for use with documents and things. An LCR oscillating circuit is printed on or embedded in the document or thing. Because of the resistance, when the oscillating circuit is placed in a suitable high frequency electromagnetic field, heat is generated due to the power dissipated in the resistor. The heat can be used to cause a change in color of a thermochromic pigment, or the heat can be detected by a suitable thermographic measuring device such as an infrared video camera.
