摘要: Embodiments of methods and apparatus are disclosed for obtaining differential phase contrast imaging system and methods for same. Method and apparatus embodiments can provide regularized phase contrast retrieval that can address noise reduction and/or edge enhancement. Certain exemplary embodiments can suppress stripe artifacts occurring in the process of integration of noisy differential phase data. Further, certain exemplary embodiments can use transmission images and/or dark-field images to improve or restore phase contrast images affected by noise edges.

摘要: A method for presenting radiographic images of a subject obtains, from the same radiographic image capture, at least a first image and a second image, wherein the at least first and second images differ in presentation. The method associates the at least first and second images as companion images according to one or more entered instructions. There is displayed at least a first executable data link that relates to a first storage location of the first image and a second executable data link that relates to a second storage location of the second image. In response to an operator selection of either of or both of the first and second executable data links, the method displays either the corresponding first or second image, or both companion images.

A test element within the two-dimensional array, a column of test elements peripheral to the array, or test monitoring circuits peripheral to the array are constructed using the same process as the readout elements. The test element within the array and the column of test elements are connected to a first and second external voltage sources. The test element within the two-dimensional array and the column of test elements may be connected to a test data line or to a data line used by the imaging pixels.

摘要: A method for rib suppression in a volume chest x-ray image, executed at least in part by a computer captures a first set of unsegmented projection images, each at a corresponding angle, and forms a second set of segmented projection images by detecting rib features in a first projection image to form a first segmented projection image and generating a base model according to the detected rib features for the first projection image. Each of one or more additional projection images from the first set is processed to add members to the second set by a repeated sequence of generating a predictive model; detecting rib features using the predictive model; adjusting the base model according to detected rib features; and correcting rib detection in one or more members of the second set. The volume chest x-ray image is reconstructed according to the segmented projection images and is displayed.

摘要: An apparatus for cone beam computed tomography of an extremity has a digital radiation detector and a first device to move the detector along a circular detector path extending so that the detector moves both at least partially around a first extremity of the patient and between the first extremity and a second, adjacent extremity. The detector path has radius R1 sufficient to position the extremity approximately centered in the detector path. There is a radiation source with a second device to move the source along a concentric circular source path having a radius R2 greater than radius R1, radius R2 sufficiently long to allow adequate radiation exposure of the first extremity for an image capture by the detector. A first circumferential gap in the source path allows the second extremity to be positioned in the first circumferential gap during image capture.
