    摘要: A calixarene bisphosphite composition for use as a ligand in a transition metal-ligand complex catalyst and in a complex catalyst precursor. The ligand is especially useful in catalysts and catalyst precursors for hydroformylation processes wherein a raffinate stream comprising a mixture of alpha, beta, and iso-olefinic isomers is hydroformylated in the presence of carbon monoxide, hydrogen, and the transition metal-ligand complex catalyst to form a mixture of linear and branched aldehyde products. The complex catalyst selectively converts the alpha and beta olefin reactants more rapidly than the iso-olefin reactant resulting in an improved molar ratio of normal (linear) to branched aldehyde products. The unconverted iso-olefinic isomer is thereafter readily separated from the aldehyde product mixture.

More particularly, the temperature and feed rate of the liquid as delivered to each absorption zone can be adjusted independently to optimize the absorption of at least a portion of any gaseous reactants and byproducts from the gaseous product stream and/or to optimize reaction zone conditions. Reaction kinetics may thus be improved, or substantially maintained.

Flame retardant epoxy resins may be used to make electrical laminates. Flame retardant polyurethane is useful for making rigid polyurethane foam used in construction and flexible polyurethane foam used to make vehicle upholstery. Ignition resistant thermoplastic resins are useful for making television cabinets, computer monitors, printer housings, automotive parts, and housings and parts for appliances. This invention is particularly useful in end use applications in which a low bromine or low halogen content is required or desired.

    摘要: The present invention includes a composition comprising a propylene-alpha olefin copolymer having at least seventy weight percent units derived from propylene, and from ten to twenty five weight percent units derived from ethylene or a C4-C10 alpha olefin, the propylene-alpha olefin copolymer exhibiting a heat of fusion of less than 37 Joules/gram and a melt flow rate of from 0.1 to 100 gram/10 minutes; and a styrenic block copolymer, wherein the weight ratio of the propylene-alpha olefin copolymer to the styrenic block copolymer is from 3:7 to 7:3. The composition exhibits tensile modulus of less than 20 MPa, tensile strength of at least 5 MPa, and elongation at break of at least 900% with low relative immediate set.
