摘要： A bearing (1) having a frame (2), the frame at least partly surrounding two matrices (12, 16), each of a plurality of spheres (10) which are mounted for rotation so that the spheres in each matrix when the matrix is flat lie in a substantially single plane, the plane of one matrix being parallel to that of the other; the spheres or one matrix are so located that they mostly lie against the spheres on the other matrices so that rotation of the spheres of one matrix results in counter-rotation of spheres of the other matrix; the bearing formed in such a way enables the bearing to be pushed or pulled under an object such as a patient lying on the ground with little or no movement transmitted to the object/patient as the bearing moves between the object and an underlying surface. The bearing can also be used for massaging a patient who is unable to move his or her body or for bearings with civil engineering applications.

摘要： An extended life ball transfer unit has a housing with a well of generally cup-shaped configuration with at least the lower portion of its surface being defined by a pair of radii mutually offset to opposite sides from its vertical axis to generate a gothic church arch cross section. A passage extends therethrough at the base of the housing well. Sealed in the well is a spherical conveyor ball having a radius of smaller length than the radii defining the lower surface of the well, and the well defining radii having their origins above the center of the conveyor ball. A multiplicity of spherical bearing balls is disposed between the conveyor ball and at least the lower portion of the well. The bearing balls support the conveyor ball and transferring the load from the conveyor ball to the housing over an annular area defined by an arc of about 5-15° with its center spaced about 30°-40° upwardly from the passage. A annular cap is seated in the upper portion of the well and has an inner surface portion bearing against the surface of the conveyor ball to provide a sealing action limiting debris from passing into the lower portion of the well.

摘要： An object of the present invention is to provide a ball plunger wherein a main ball of the ball plunger is rotated surely and smoothly, when a mold, jig or other article is fixed, positioned, or transported. Another object is to control and keep constant the main ball projection height from a surface fixed to the ball plunger. A plurality of the sub balls are accommodated on the bottom portion of the ball roller which farther accommodates the main ball on the sub balls, thereby reducing the rolling friction between the main ball and the sub balls. Thus, the main ball rolls smoothly. The ball roller and the spring is inserted into the casing. Finally, the spring is fixed to the casing by the coupling ring such as a c-shaped ring.

摘要： A ball transfer unit adapted to receive cargo for movement thereover having a ball race assembly including a cup member having a cylindrical wall extending therearound and having a terminal end at the outer extremity of said cup. The wall in proximity to said terminal end is provided with external threads. A plurality of roller balls repose in the cup. A rotatable cargo engageable ball rests on the roller balls. A ball cover is provided to prevent inadvertent removal of the cargo engaging ball from said assembly while allowing free rotation thereof. The ball cover has a terminal end and, in proximity to said terminal end, the cover is provided with internal threads. The external and internal threads are engageable to hold the ball cover in place on the ball race assembly during normal use and the ball cover being readily disengageable to permit disassembly and cleaning of the components of the unit. The unit has a flat, planar bottom surface on which to rest during disassembly. The cup is supported around its periphery by an inwardly extending shoulder provided on the cylindrical wall. The cup supported by the shoulder together with the threads serve to improve the alignment of the ball and ball cover so that less dirt is admitted.
