摘要： An items processing apparatus for placement and singulation of flat items has a placement device and a feed deck and a separation device. A portion of the placement device is arranged below the placement deck of the apparatus. The feed deck has an opening for an separation roller, and a portion of the separation device arranged above the feed deck. This portion and the separation roller form a gate of the separation device for the singulation of a stack of flat items. A control computer controls the placement device and separation device. The placement device is equipped for edge alignment of a stack of flat items with different formats and has at least two transport elements, which enable an automatic displacement of the stack transverse to the transport direction and placement of the stack at an alignment wall, as well as a transport of the stack in the transport direction toward the feed deck of the separation device, as well as a displacement of the stack counter to the transport direction. A movement assembly is provided to move the portion of the separation device in a direction counter to the transport direction. The control computer controls the alignment state of the transport elements of the placement device of the items processing apparatus, and controls the movement of the portion of the separation device. The aforementioned portion enables a displacement of the stack counter to the transport direction.

The guard rail (210) is coupled to a pivoting lever (410) co-operating with a lift bar (450) directly mounted on a machine (20) for moving the guard rail (210) relative to the rail (310) between a low position and a high position, wherein the load is supported either by the rail (310) or by the guard rail (210). The pivoting lever (410) transforms the vertical upward force exerted by the lift bar (450) into a horizontal force on the guard rail (210) to move it in horizontal translation (Th). The rail (310) comprises inclined ramps (331) co-operating with the rolling members (230) to move it in vertical translation (Tv) simultaneously with its horizontal movement (Th). The invention is useful for transferring heavy loads in a substantially horizontal plane between a fork handling apparatus and a machine such as a machine-tool, a press, and injection machine and the like.

The unit further comprises a two-piece stamped metal piston slidably mounted within the housing. The unit further comprises a stamped metal race disposed within the piston. A monolayer of ball bearings are arranged within the race. A primary ball is seated directly on top of the bearings. The top of the primary ball extends partially through the open top of the top piston piece. The unit further comprises a rubber seal fitted around the piston and a coiled spring for biasing the piston downwardly within the housing.
