The injection valve includes a valve body with a cavity having a fluid outlet portion, a valve needle movable in the cavity between a closing position preventing fluid flow outlet and other positions allowing fluid flow through the outlet, and an actuator unit for actuating the valve needle. The method includes actuating the actuator unit with a predetermined voltage signal, recording a time-dependent profile of a current through the actuator unit, detecting a first gradient alteration time where the gradient of the recorded current profile changes more than a first threshold, detecting a second gradient alteration time where the gradient of the recorded current profile changes more than a second threshold, and based on the first and second gradient alteration times determining a diagnostic value usable for compensating a long-term drift of the injection valve.

    摘要: An electromagnetic valve driver, in normal operation, supplies peak current from a capacitor to a coil of an injector by turning ON a transistor on a downstream side of the coil and a discharge transistor that discharges electricity from the capacitor to the coil. Thereafter, the driver supplies constant current to the coil by an ON-OFF control of a transistor disposed between a battery and an upstream side of the coil until an end of the electricity supply period. When an open failure of the discharge transistor is detected, the driver controls the current to prevent a voltage rise of the capacitor to reduce flyback energy collected from a downstream side of the coil by the capacitor based on a transistor OFF timing delay scheme, in which an OFF timing of a transistor is delayed by a preset delay time from a normal OFF timing thereof.

    摘要: A valve includes a spring having a spring force, an actuator having an actuator force that acts against the spring force, and a tappet that can be actuated by means of the actuator. The valve also includes a sealing element, which is or can be coupled to the tappet, and a sealing seat, such that the valve is closed when the sealing element lies against the sealing seat. A current having a specified curve, proceeding from an initial value of the current to a specified final value of the current, is applied during a specified time interval of the actuator after a closing phase of the valve for a normally open valve or after an opening phase for a normally closed valve. The initial value of the current is less than the final value.

    摘要: A detection circuit for a diesel injection valve includes a first threshold, a first comparator for receiving a BEMF signal from the valve and compare the BEMF signal to the first threshold, a filter for filtering the BEMF signal thereby providing a filtered BEMF signal, a second threshold, and a second comparator for comparing a difference between the BEMF signal and the filtered BEMF signal to the second threshold, indicating an end of motion of the valve. An output of the first comparator and an output of the second comparator are joined to define an output signal. The output signal is activated only when the BEMF signal is above the first threshold and when the difference between the BEMF signal and the filtered BEMF signal is greater than the second threshold.
