    摘要: A lubricating system has been disclosed for gear mechanisms or generators, in particular for gear mechanisms of wind power plants, which lubricating system permits a switchover between dry sump lubrication and wet sump lubrication. This takes place by way of a delivery device which increases the pressure in a lubricant tank selectively or in an emergency, for example a power outage, and presses a lubricant back into an oil sump in the gear mechanism, whereupon a lubricant level is increased there and wet sump lubrication is realized. The delivery device can have a compressor. Said compressor can charge a pressure accumulator via a non-return valve or can increase the pressure in the lubricant tank directly. The delivery device can consist of hydraulic, pneumatic or else electrical components. If it is pneumatic, it can be separated from the hydraulic lubricating system via an elbow.

    摘要: A lubrication system includes a reserve housing configured to retain a lubrication fluid. A supply line in fluid communication with the reserve housing is configured to provide pressurized lubrication fluid to the reserve housing. An overflow tube has an overflow port, the overflow tube being configured to prevent the volume of the lubrication fluid from exceeding a certain amount. A metering jet is configured to allow the lubrication fluid to flow from the reserve housing onto a component, such as a bearing, in the gearbox at a predetermined rate. The metering jet provides flow of the lubrication fluid onto the bearing even when the supply line no longer provides pressurized lubrication fluid to the reserve housing.

    摘要: A method of controlling a level of fluid in a main sump of a transmission includes opening an auxiliary reservoir with a first valve when fluid temperature in the main sump is at or below the predetermined temperature. The first valve is opened to increase the level of fluid in the main sump to at least a predetermined height so that transmission rotating components contact the fluid and generate splash lubrication. When the transmission is transmitting torque and the fluid is above the predetermined temperature, the level of fluid in the main sump is maintained below a predetermined height with closed first valve, such that the rotating components do not contact the fluid inside the main sump. A fluid pump alone is sufficient to lubricate the rotating components above the predetermined temperature and sufficient to lubricate the rotating components at or below the predetermined temperature only with splash lubrication.
