    摘要: A valve configured to control a flow of a process fluid includes a pair of packing seals separated by a seal gap space along a linear valve stem of the valve, and a pressurization port that can be used to apply a pressurizing fluid, such as nitrogen gas, to the seal gap at a gap pressure that is higher than the process fluid pressure, thereby ensuring that any leakage past the packing seals will be of pressurizing fluid into the process fluid and/or into the environment, and that no process fluid will escape into the environment. The pressure or flow rate of the pressurizing fluid can be monitored to detect and quantify any pressurization fluid leakage past either of the packing seals, so that a maintenance action can be applied to the valve, such as re-tightening or replacing at least one of the packing seals, or replacing the valve.

The first and second packing members may be arranged about, respectively, lower and upper portions of an operating member that extends through a bore in the control valve. The pressurized gas supply may be configured to pressurize a portion of the bore arranged between the first and second packing members. The gas pressurized packing system may be implemented in a low fugitive emission control valve and a low fugitive emission control valve system.

    摘要: A valve for controlling the temperature of a coolant to flow into a fuel cell stack to provide the optimum level of coolant at the appropriate temperature in order to keep the operation of the fuel cell stack stable is provided. In particular, new type of seal that can achieve maximum sealability with minimized friction force on a plunger shaft by changing the shape and structure of a seal for sealing the plunger shaft. As such, the valve provides a coolant control valve for a fuel cell stack in a fuel cell vehicle which can improve durability in addition to preventing water leakage and can contribute to reducing the manufacturing cost via reduction of the number or parts and simplification of the structure by removing peripheral parts all while sufficiently sealing the valve.

The gas pressurized packing system may include a first packing member, a second packing member and a pressurized gas supply.     摘要: The invention concerns an valve drive assembly for a valve unit for regulating a flow of fluid with a lead-through of an operating rod (3) through a flange (4), particularly the arrangement of operating rod (3) to the flange (4) for adjusting a defined flow of fluid. The assembly comprises a flange (4), and operating rod (3) and an annular element. The operating rod (3) is disposed through said flange, and annular element is disposed between flange (4) and operating rod (3) defining an annular gap (12) between the annular element and the operating rod. An effective length of the annular gap (12) exceeds a thickness of the flange (4). This invention leads to considerable cost savings, as the component parts can now be produced more simply using manufacturing processes known from mass production, such as deep-drawing or even stamping.

    摘要: The present invention is directed toward an anti-contamination arrangement for a valve having a valve housing, a bushing positioned in the valve housing, a valve member including a valve shaft and a valving portion operable for engaging a valve seat, slidably disposed through the bushing, and a supply port operably associated with the valve member. The valve also includes a control chamber controlled by the valving portion, and a valve seat positioned between the supply port and the control chamber. The valve member is operably associated with the valve seat for controlling the flow of fluid from the supply port to the control chamber upon the movement of the valve member in relation to the valve seat. There is also an anti-contamination arrangement positioned between the bushing and the valve shaft for collecting and removing contamination from the valve member.

    摘要: A redundant sealing system with secondary containment for preventing leakage of fluid along a valve shaft is provided. The system comprises a first set of dynamic seals, a second set of dynamic seals, an auxiliary barrier fluid chamber, and a barrier fluid indicator. The first and second set of dynamic seals are in spaced relation to each other a distance equal to or further than a maximum stroke length of an actuatable valve stem. The auxiliary barrier fluid chamber is interposed between the first and second sets of dynamic seals. The barrier fluid indicator has a piston in a primary barrier fluid chamber. A first face of the piston is exposed to the auxiliary barrier fluid chamber. A second face of the piston is exposed to a barrier fluid and inhibited from fluid communication with the auxiliary barrier fluid chamber by a dynamic seal in the first set of dynamic seals.

    摘要: A seal device for a shaft is provided which has a maintenance seal which can reliably seal around the shaft without compression by rotation or pressing force, and which eliminates the necessity of readjustment after replacement of the seal packings. A seal packing is retained in a packing case housed in a casing, and a maintenance seal is housed under the packing case. A pressurizing means resiliently deforms a resilient body fitted so as to form a sealed space. The pressurizing means supplies pressurized fluid into the sealed space and inflates the resilient body to press it against the shaft. The pressurized fluid is discharged after repair of seal packings.
