Abstract:
A packing system is disclosed for use with a valve having a valve body that defines a flow passage therethrough. The packing system includes a bonnet configured for connection to the valve body, a stem bore extending through the bonnet to receive a stem of the valve that is movable within the stem bore to control flow through the flow passage, a first packing set arranged in the stem bore surrounding a first portion of the stem, a second packing set arranged in the stem bore surrounding a second portion of the stem that is spaced apart from the first packing set by a support ring to define an inter-packing volume within the stem bore, and a pressurized barrier lubricant reservoir in communication with the inter-packing volume via a bonnet port in the bonnet to pressurize barrier lubricant within the inter-packing volume to be at or above a process pressure.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to an air supply valve having a backflow prevention function and a valve module, for preventing backflow of air or gas through an outlet. The air supply valve includes a housing that includes a motor mounted therein and in which a supply flow path and an outlet of air are formed, a driver including a gear part for transmitting driving force of the motor and a converter for converting rotation of the gear part to linear motion, and a valve module that is coupled to an end of the converter and is opened while being spaced apart from the outlet of the housing to be connected to the supply flow path or is closed while being in contact with the outlet.
Abstract:
A valve configured to control a flow of a process fluid includes a pair of packing seals separated by a seal gap space along a linear valve stem of the valve, and a pressurization port that can be used to apply a pressurizing fluid, such as nitrogen gas, to the seal gap at a gap pressure that is higher than the process fluid pressure, thereby ensuring that any leakage past the packing seals will be of pressurizing fluid into the process fluid and/or into the environment, and that no process fluid will escape into the environment. The pressure or flow rate of the pressurizing fluid can be monitored to detect and quantify any pressurization fluid leakage past either of the packing seals, so that a maintenance action can be applied to the valve, such as re-tightening or replacing at least one of the packing seals, or replacing the valve.

Abstract:
A liquid collection and evaporation device is proposed for use between a cooling water regulating valve of a vehicle and an actuator device for actuating the valve. The liquid collection and evaporation device includes a separation tank for collecting and evaporating liquid droplets emerging from the cooling water regulating valve. The separation tank here has a connection to the valve, a connection to the actuator device, and also a multiplicity of openings which firstly prevent the liquid droplets from emerging from the tank and secondly permit droplet evaporation because of waste heat acting on the tank. The invention furthermore relates to a valve unit with such a liquid collection and evaporation device, and to a vehicle with such a valve unit.
Abstract:
An EGR device has a housing defining an EGR passage through which an EGR gas flows; a shaft rotatably supported by the housing through a bearing; a valve body adjusting a flow passage area of the EGR passage by rotating along with the shaft; and an actuator connected to one end portion of the shaft to drive the shaft. The bearing has a first bearing supporting one end portion of the shaft and a second bearing supporting the other end portion of the shaft. Moreover, a sealing member preventing fluid from flowing into the actuator is disposed at one end portion of the shaft. The housing has the chamber which accommodates the second bearing and is isolated form the exterior. The second bearing is made of a PPS resin material to which a fluororesin material is added. Thus, the second bearing is not corroded even if exposed to an atmosphere of strong acid.

In some implementations, an injection system that injects sealant into a pipe, pressure component or valve while containing the pipe, pressure component or valve repair that significantly reduces or eliminates release of hazardous material from inside the pipe, pressure component valve or injection system and thus significantly reduces emission of the hazardous material from inside the pipe, pressure component or valve into the environment and protecting the repair technicians.
Abstract:
A gas pressurized packing system for use in a control valve may include a first packing member, a second packing member and a pressurized gas supply. The first and second packing members may be arranged about, respectively, lower and upper portions of an operating member that extends through a bore in the control valve. The pressurized gas supply may be configured to pressurize a portion of the bore arranged between the first and second packing members. The gas pressurized packing system may be implemented in a low fugitive emission control valve and a low fugitive emission control valve system.
Abstract:
A valve for controlling the temperature of a coolant to flow into a fuel cell stack to provide the optimum level of coolant at the appropriate temperature in order to keep the operation of the fuel cell stack stable is provided. In particular, new type of seal that can achieve maximum sealability with minimized friction force on a plunger shaft by changing the shape and structure of a seal for sealing the plunger shaft. As such, the valve provides a coolant control valve for a fuel cell stack in a fuel cell vehicle which can improve durability in addition to preventing water leakage and can contribute to reducing the manufacturing cost via reduction of the number or parts and simplification of the structure by removing peripheral parts all while sufficiently sealing the valve.
