Abstract:
Multipurpose performance eyewear for motion sports and activities comprising two frame members, each adapted to receive a lens, one or more receiving elements, and a magnetic member at least partially embedded in an end of each of the frame elements. Provided are two eye rims to at least partially contact and surround the wearer's orbit, each eye rim comprising members adapted to be removably received by the receiving elements of the frame members, and a magnetic member.
Abstract:
Eyeglasses configured in such a way that parameter (h) is 20 mm or greater and (l/h) is 6 or smaller, the parameters (h) and (l) being defined as follows: the length of a straight line (L) connecting portions (C) to which left and right temples are attached is (l) mm, and the length of a normal (H) to the straight line (L) drawing from the forefront surface (E) of a front portion (B) located on the central line (D) of the eyeglasses is (h) mm.
Abstract:
The synthetic resin lens has a function to generate heat by selectively absorbing infrared rays with wavelengths of 780 to 3000 nm. The synthetic resin lens includes an infrared absorber. Selective absorption of infrared rays allows the synthetic resin lens itself to generate heat and thus the lens of the present invention has the same function as being electrically heated to prevent fogging.
Abstract:
A combination includes eyewear, such as glasses, with a removable vapor barrier attachment. The eyewear includes a frame and lenses configured for protecting a user's eyes. The vapor barrier attachment is removably attached to the eyewear, and includes a base member removably attachable to the eyewear frame, and flap members extending from the base member. The flap members have a shape and length so as to extend longitudinally below the eyewear lenses. The flap members are attached to the eyewear along at least a portion of the length of the flap members and have a resilient sealing edge that conforms against the wearer's face to inhibit exhaled air from passing between the lenses and the wearer's face.
Abstract:
An adjustable polarized goggle provides for simple adjustment of the intensity of transmitted light with a mittened or gloved hand in a simple design having only three polarized elements. A continuous rounded common polarized element comprises the outer lens of the goggle and two coupled, rotatable, polarized elements inside the lens are disposed at an angle from one another to provide a compact shape conforming to the shape of a head. A foam liner traps an air volume between the polarized elements to reduce condensation.
Abstract:
A pair of windshield eyeglasses (101) comprises: lenses (106) and a frame (102) for holding the lenses. Each of the lenses or the frame includes an edge formed with a windshield (107) for sealing a gap between the edge and a face of a user. The windshield extends from the edge and ranges from laterally inward side of the face to an upper intermediate portion and to a lower intermediate portion of the frame.By providing the windshield, the airflow along the user's face is changed to flow along the outside of the windshield. Therefore, the airflow along the face is prevented from entering between the eyeglass inner surface and the user's face. In particular, the airflow is effectively prevented from affecting the eyes from medial angles of eyes toward lateral angles of eyes. This eliminates interference with the natural flow of tears on the eye surface, making it possible to effectively prevent drying and inflammation in the eyes, or prevent foreign materials from coming into the eyes.
Abstract:
Eyewear member includes a structure for fitting peripherally on or around or behind lens and structure of conventional eyewear. Interfitting structure ranges from sealing segments to eyewear members which may attachably engage or simply interfit behind conventional eyewear. The eyewear members enables conventional eyewear to form a closer fit with the face of the user to protect the person's eyes from wind, water and foreign material. All embodiments contemplate selectable removability, replace ability and interchangeability.
Abstract:
A treatment for dry eye syndrome. An at least partially sealed chamber including a reservoir for moisture for surrounding the eyes is disclosed. The invention may be transparent for use during the day or in association with prescription or non-prescription lenses. The moisture chamber may also be opaque to act as a blackout mask for sleeping.
Abstract:
Eyewear of the present invention includes a frame, at least one lens and a lens retaining member of non-metal material permanently engaging at least one lens. The lens retaining member extends along and projects radially and outwardly from at least a section of a periphery of the at least one lens. The lens retaining member is removably engaged with the frame.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for preventing ocular surface abnormalities. This apparatus includes a frame containing at least one lens and at least one seal. The frame, lens, and seal provide an area about the eyes of a user that is at least partially enclosed from a surrounding environment when worn. Humidity and temperature are increased in the area about the eyes of the user to provide a microenvironment in the area about the eyes of the user. The microenvironment is capable of reducing or preventing ocular surface abnormalities, alleviating ocular discomfort, and improving ocular health. The seal may be removable and may attach to prescription eyeglasses, sunglasses, and so on. The seal may also contain a filter, such as a HEPA filter.
