[Class 40 (v)] [Also in Group XXXVII] In a remote control arrangement providing a number of alternative control units, operation of any unit renders the rest inoperative. Each unit comprises a gain control 12, a channel selector switch 10, a C.W., M.C.W. and 'phone selector switch 11, and a control switch 13. Corresponding leads C from the individual units are connected in parallel. The control switch 13 (see Group XXXVII) closes the corresponding pairs of contacts 20a-d, 21a-d, when rotated to " ON," being then held by the latch 23 and catch 24. In passing from " OFF " to " ON " the arm 20c momentarily engages an intermediate contact 21e, interconnecting the lines 26, 28, and energizing via lines 26, 27 catch release magnets 25 in all units. Any other unit in " ON " position is returned by a spring 23 to " OFF," while the switch 13 being manually operated latches " ON " when fully rotated.

    摘要： A variable rate, bi-directional slew control employing a dual-concentric potentiometer having a first shaft attached to a first spring for urging it to remain in an extreme clockwise position and a second shaft urged by a second spring to remain in an extreme counterclockwise position wherein an extension of a sleeve provides the means for manual manipulation of the first shaft in a counterclockwise direction and the second shaft in a clockwise direction. A first tap associated with the first shaft is electrically connected to a first off-zero detector which is itself connected to a pulse generator which is in turn connected to an up input of an up/down counter. A second tap associated with the second shaft is electrically connected to a second off-zero detector which is connected with a second pulse generator which is in turn connected to a down input of the up/down counter.

    摘要： In a television receiver, a keyboard encoding arrangement which makes use of an existing register for storing binary signals representing control information and existing connections coupled to respective stages of the register includes transmission gates for selectively coupling the connections to respective switches of a keyboard. The switches of the keyboard are also coupled to sense circuits for detecting the presence or absence of binary signals. A counter selectively counts in response to sense signals generated by the sense circuits and generates count-representative signals which control the selective coupling and decoupling of binary signals stored in the register to the sense circuits through operated switches of the keyboard. A decoder is responsive to the count signals to generate control signals related to operated switches.
