    Abstract: A portable electronic device includes a housing, a resisting member and a keypad. The housing has a receiving recess running through two sides of the housing. The resisting member is formed on the bottom of the receiving recess. The keypad has a plurality of receiving cavities formed at the bottom surface. The keypad is hold by engagement of a receiving cavity with the resisting member and can slid by pushing of the keypad until another receiving cavity receives the resisting member.

    Abstract: A portable radio communication device includes a radio section using a frequency for at least one of signal reception and signal transmission. The frequency used by the radio section is set to a frequency assigned to a memory channel. A mute circuit mutes an audio output circuit when a mute-cancel or monitor switch is not operated, and unmutes the audio output circuit when the switch is operated. A display is controlled to indicate a name assigned to the memory channel when the switch is not operated, and to indicate the frequency assigned to the memory channel when the switch is operated.

    Abstract: Electronic devices with sensible orientation structures are disclosed. The electronic devices can include a faceplate having a faceplate surface and a display at or near the faceplate surface for providing content to a user. The electronic devices can also include an input device proximate to the display for accepting input from the user.
