The present invention provides an information processing apparatus that acquires image data from an image supply apparatus, and that transfers the acquired image data to an application, including: a selection unit configured to select a transfer mode when transferring the image data to the application; a first transfer control unit configured to transfer the image data to the application according to a TWAIN standard; a second transfer control unit configured to transfer an image file created based on the image data while maintaining a compression format or a non-compression format, to the application; and a transfer control unit configured to control the transfer using at least one of the first transfer control unit and the second transfer control unit based on the transfer mode selected by the selection unit.

A cooperative image processing system comprises an image processing apparatus and a portable information apparatus; the image processing apparatus comprises: a file creator that creates a file; a transmitter that transmits the file to the portable information apparatus; and a log information generator that generates log information of the image processing apparatus which includes a transmission history; the portable information apparatus comprises: a display; one or more processors; a cooperation portion that shows on the display an operation screen; transmits user instructions entered through the operation screen, to the image processing apparatus; receives the file in exchange for the user instructions; and transfers the file to any one of the one or more processors; a log information obtaining portion that obtains: the log information of the image processing apparatus and that of the portable information apparatus; and a log information manager that consolidates the log information of both of them.

The present invention is intended to manage a plurality of network cameras simply. The network camera management system comprises: a server for managing a plurality of cameras and controlling recording and/or displaying of an image captured by a camera; and a controller for instructing a management state of a camera on the server. By the operation of the controller, an image to be displayed is dynamically selected from images captured by the plurality of cameras according to the mode instructed by the controller. Thus, even if there are a large number of cameras, it is possible to display in such a form that it is intuitively easy to understand which camera's image is being displayed.

An image transfer system configured with an image transmission apparatus, an image transfer apparatus and the image saving apparatus. The image transmission apparatus transmits image data recorded in a storage medium to the image transfer apparatus. The image transfer apparatus receives the image data, records the image data into a first storage device and transfers the image data to the image saving apparatus in response to a request issued from the image saving apparatus. The image saving apparatus receives the image data and records the image data into a second storage device. The image saving apparatus includes: the second storage device; a communication unit; a recording control unit for controlling read/write of management information; a request receiving unit from a user; a decision-making unit as to whether or not target image data are recorded; an image requesting unit for the target image data; and an image recording unit.

A wireless connection system capable of reducing a load on a user when constructing wireless connection environment including a host and devices. A wireless connection system comprises a host computer, a first device that has established a wireless connection with the host computer based on first association information, and a second device that has not established the wireless connection with the host computer. The host computer generates second association information for the wireless connection with the second device, and transmits the second association information to the first device by radio. The first device stores the second association information into a removable memory device when equipped with the removable memory device. The second device acquires the second association information from the removable memory device when equipped with the removable memory device that stores the second association information, and communicates with the host computer by radio based on the second association information.

A print control method of a host apparatus which is connected to at least one image forming apparatus in a network, the method including receiving changed IP information from the at least one image forming apparatus; determining whether the host apparatus performs a print job with respect to the image forming apparatus which has the changed IP information; holding the print job if there is the print job; changing a print option for the print job; and transmitting print data corresponding to the print job according to the changed print option. With this, the apparatus and the method may normally perform a print job by changing a port of an image forming apparatus and prevent data loss due to a failure to change the port normally even if there is a print job for an image forming apparatus whose IP address is changed.

In a communication system, an image forming apparatus sends an address of a receiving section to a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal receives a selection of an image data among plural thumbnails displayed on a display section, and wirelessly sends the selected image data to the image forming apparatus with the address. The image forming apparatus receives the selected image data sent with the address by the mobile terminal, and prints an image based on the selected image data. A communication between the mobile terminal and the image forming apparatus is performed wirelessly with an IEEE 802.11 standard. The image forming apparatus deletes the address of the mobile terminal when the communication with the mobile terminal through the receiving section is finished.

A method for outputting image data generated by an image processing apparatus to a portable storage medium connected to an interface is provided. The method includes the following steps of: issuing an identifier of the image data; writing the identifier into the storage medium without waiting for the image data to be generated completely; after generating the image data, associating the image data with the identifier and storing the image data in a storage portion; reading out the identifier from the storage medium when the storage medium is connected to the interface again; and writing, into the storage medium, the image data stored in the storage portion in association with the identifier thus read out.
