Abstract:
The present invention is an improved transparency scanning module, which is applied on a cover of scanning device. The transparency scanning module and the cover can be taken apart for different consuming groups. The features of the invention are that transparency scanning module is embedded in cover, and a slot of cover for holding transparency scanning module is set plural fillisters, and there are plural connectors set on the relative positions of transparency scanning module for connecting each other. When the fillisters connecting with the connectors, transparency scanning module is able to offer light and also transparency scanning module and cover are combined and fixed each other closely; on the other hand, rim of transparency scanning module is thinner, and most central part is protruding in z direction, thus transparency scanning module can be inserted and held in the slot of cover. This is another design for closely combination.
Abstract:
A reading apparatus comprising a plate on which a transparent original is placed, and a guide unit for setting the transparent original at a predetermined position on the original plate. A light source unit is settable at plural positions in contact with the guide unit for illuminating the transparent original which is urged against the original plate by the light source unit. A portion of the light source unit which is contacted with the transparent original is chamfered (R-worked) not to damage the transparent original. Further, a portion of the light source unit which is contacted with the transparent original is designed to urge the transparent original at an out of an image area of the original.
Abstract:
A scanner module and an image scanning apparatus includes an illuminator that includes a light source, a light guide extending in a main scanning direction to change a direction of the light from the light source, a guide holder recessed with a light guide mounting portion in which the light guide is mounted, and at least one supporting protrusion protruding from an entrance of the light guide mounting portion into the light guide mounting portion to support the light guide received in the light guide mounting portion. As the light guide is supported by the supporting protrusion formed at the entrance of the light guide mounting portion, it is possible to reduce deformation of the light guide and/or to prevent the light guide from being falling out of the light guide mounting portion when subjected to, e.g., a shock.
Abstract:
An original transport and reading apparatus includes an original transport apparatus having a transport path, a first image reading unit that reads an image of an original facing the original transport apparatus, and a second image reading unit that is arranged inside the original transport apparatus and reads an image of the original. The second image reading unit includes a light source, a turning mirror, a lens, an image sensor, and a rotation support shaft, and is accommodated and held by a unit casing. The rotation support shaft performs support so as to allow rotation of the second image reading unit centered on a rotational fulcrum that is arranged along a reading light path for reading an image at a second reading position. Furthermore, a curved original guide having a guiding surface that is curved is arranged in a position corresponding to the light source.
Abstract:
To set at least the main portion of a read original on an image reading apparatus while avoiding a discontinuous portion, the position of the discontinuous portion of photoelectric conversion element arrays is indicated, or an original holder to be used to set the original while avoiding the discontinuous portion is arranged.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus includes a drive source, a speed change mechanism provided in a transmission unit that transmits a driving force from the drive source to a scanning drive unit. The speed change mechanism is configured to change a transmission ratio of the transmission unit by selectively bringing one of first and second couplings into a connected state. The image reading apparatus further includes a selector configured to selectively bring one of the first and second couplings into the connected state, a detector configured to detect the connected state of the second coupling, and a controller configured to control a scanning position of the reading unit based on the transmission ratio changed via the second coupling after the detector detects the connected state of the second coupling after the selector changes selection from the first coupling to the second coupling.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus includes a housing having a bottom plate, a photoelectric conversion element configured to convert an optical signal of light reflected by an original document to an electrical signal, and a circuit board configured to implement a circuit controlling the signal sent from the photoelectric conversion element, wherein the bottom plate of the housing forms a portion thereof facing a lower end portion of the circuit board to protrude outwardly toward a downward direction of the bottom plate of the housing so that the lower end portion of the circuit board is accommodated therein or wherein the bottom plate of the housing includes an opening portion facing the lower end portion of the circuit board so that the lower end portion of the circuit board is protruded from the opening portion in a downward direction of the bottom plate of the housing.
Abstract:
The image reading device of the present invention is an image reading device comprising a reading unit reading an image of an original document, a clear plate disposed between the original document and the reading unit, a clear photoemitting layer included in the clear plate and having a plurality of emitting areas, a clear input sensor included in the clear plate and outputting a two-dimensional position of a pushed place on the clear plate and an controller displaying an operation panel on the clear plate using the clear photoemitting layer and receiving operations to the operation panel.
Abstract:
In an optical scanning device using two polygon mirrors, the present invention achieves both a simplification of the device and a reduction of vibrations. An optical scanning device is provided with a first optical system including a polygon mirror and a second optical system including a polygon mirror. The polygon mirror provided in the first optical system and the polygon mirror provided in the second optical system are configured such that they rotate in mutually opposite directions. Further, the optical scanning device is provided with one BD sensor for detecting laser beams that are scanned with the polygon mirrors. Slits with mutually different widths are arranged between the BD sensor and the respective polygon mirrors of the first and second optical systems.
Abstract:
A document positioning apparatus has a supporter. The supporter is disposed under a base of a document camera. A gap is formed between the supporter and a ground surface used to support the supporter and the gap is designed to be large enough for a document to shift. The document positioning apparatus further has a document guider, formed on an edge of the supporter to guide the document into the gap under the supporter easily.
