摘要: The driven front wheel drive assembly includes a drive assembly with a drive frame. The drive frame has a vertical plate that pivots about a steering axis. A gear case with a plate portion and a skirt is clamped to the vertical plate to form a sealed gear case. A helical pinion gear is on a driven motor shaft. A compound gear with a helical gear is in mesh with the helical pinion gear. A first drive pinion gear fixed to the helical pinion gear is in mesh with the first spur gear. A second spur gear is fixed to the drive axle shaft and in mesh with first drive pinion gear. All of the gears are in the gear case rotate about parallel axes. The helical pinion gear and the first drive pinion gear have small pitch diameters to increase torque. The driven axle drives a wheel.

摘要: An electric vehicle includes a vehicle body, a front wheel supported on the vehicle body for steering motion in accordance with motion of the vehicle body, a pair of rear wheels supported on the vehicle body for steering motion, a steering unit configured to regulate a steer angle of each of the rear wheels, a motor unit configured to independently apply a wheel torque to each of the rear wheels, and a control unit. The control unit is configured to control the total of the wheel torques in accordance with an associated setpoint, and to control the steer angles and the difference between the wheel torques so that the attitude and the yaw rate vary in accordance with associated setpoints.

摘要: A fluid driven differential, having a fluid filled housing, an input shaft, and a pair of output shafts. The input shaft is attached to an automobile driveshaft outside of the housing and to a propeller inside the housing. The output shafts are each attached to an axle and wheel outside the housing and to a turbine inside the housing. When the driveshaft rotates the input shaft, the propeller generates a fluid current that turns the turbines and thereby turns the output shafts, the axles, and the wheels. A pair of return conduits direct fluid from the vicinity of the turbines to the vicinity of the propeller.

A vertically oriented motor (6) can be provided above the drive wheels (4, 5) and a mechanical differential (7) can be coupled with the motor (6) and the drive wheels (4, 5). Alternatively, each drive wheel (4 or 5) can be coupled with its own motor (8 or 9). Alternatively still, a double rotor electric motor (10) having two rotors (10c, 10d) and a common stator (10b) can be located between the drive wheels (4 or 5) and coupled with a neighboring drive wheel (4 or 5).

摘要: A motorized vehicle has a vehicle body, at least a pair of wheels mounted on the vehicle body for undergoing rotation to cause the motorized vehicle to undergo travelling, and a pair of electric motors each mounted on the vehicle body to selectively undergo forward and reverse rotation to rotationally drive a respective one of the wheels. A first switch is connected to the electric motors so that operation of the first switch causes the electric motors to undergo rotation simultaneously in opposite directions to turn the motorized vehicle in a first direction while the motorized vehicle does not undergo travelling. A second switch is connected to the electric motors so that operation of the second switch causes the electric motors to undergo rotation simultaneously in opposite directions to turn the motorized vehicle in a second direction opposite to the first direction while the motorized vehicle does not undergo travelling.

摘要: A driving unit for use with a rolling vehicle is provided containing a first and second motor mechanically coupled to two wheels via a transmission unit which is pivotable about the steering axis of the driving unit and adapted to establish a driving relationship between the first motor and one wheel of the unit and for establishing a driving relationship between the second motor and a second wheel of the unit. The coupling between the first motor and second motor and the transmission unit allows the transmission unit to pivot about the steering axis without causing a corresponding pivotal movement of the platform on which the first motor and the second motor are fixedly mounted, while allowing the first motor and the second motor to transmit power to their respective wheels. Various transmission units for use in these driving units are provided as well as rolling vehicles containing such units.
