    摘要: A machine for making packages containing liquid or creamy products includes stations for punching/forming a first blank defining upper, lower and rear faces of the open package. A punching and creasing station forms a second blank defining first and second lateral faces of the package. The second blank has a notch for partial transversal separation between the first and second lateral faces. A station for assembling the first blank with the second blank for opening/closing the package with the notch of the two lateral faces, arranged in a “V”, to form an edge of the package. A transport unit is movable along a feed direction and configured to receive the package from the assembly station. A station opens the edge and fills the package with a dose of the product fed through the open notch. A station seals the notch.

    摘要: A system and method for controlling oxygen ingress in cap closures is disclosed. According to one embodiment, an apparatus includes a cap and a cap liner. The cap liner includes a first diffusive layer and a semi-diffusive layer. A first side of the semi-diffusive layer is adjacent to the first diffusive layer, where the semi-diffusive layer has a lower oxygen transmission rate than that of the first diffusive layer. The cap liner further includes a second diffusive layer, where a first side of the second diffusive layer is adjacent to a second side of the semi-diffusive layer, and the semi-diffusive layer has a lower oxygen transmission rate than that of the second diffusive layer. The oxygen transmission rate of the cap liner is controlled by varying a thickness of the semi-diffusive layer.

    摘要: The present disclosure relates to methods of maintaining sterility of an aseptic work zone of a blow-fill seal operation so that low acid foods may be aseptically processed and packaged. The methods of the present disclosure further provide for maintain the sterility of the aseptic work zone such that the aseptic work zone does not have to be enclosed in a separate sterile environment during the blow fill seal process. The methods of the present disclosure further provide a sterilization procedure that is compliant with FDA regulations related to the aseptic packaging of low acid food products. Further disclosed, are methods for producing a hermetically sealed container containing a low acid food product.
