The valve has a control element (3) for moving the cone (4) to and from the seat (20). The control element (3) comprises a first leg (30) located outside the valve casing (2) and a second leg (31) which is at least partially located inside the valve casing (2). The second leg (31) passes through and is firmly attached to an elastic and springing-back wall section (21) on the valve casing (2) which faces the seat (20) and its lower end (310) merges into the shaft (40) via a joint (5). When the valve is closed the springing-back wall section (21) presses the cone (4) against the seat (20) via the second leg (31) and the shaft (40).

    摘要: A mechanism used for locking a valve that provides positive control of the valve lock to prevent the valve from changing position unintentionally. The positive locking valve control device preferably comprises a push-pull rod having a toothed configuration that is engaged at different positions by a spring mechanism on the valve locking device in order to hold the push-pull rod and thereby the valve securely in place. To adjust the opening of the valve, the push-pull rod can be rotated by some predefined amount (such as 90 degrees) clockwise or counter-clockwise. This rotation frees the locking spring on the valve locking device from the teeth aligning it with a side of the push-pull rod thereby permitting linear movement of the rod to cause a corresponding adjustment in valve position. The rod is then “pushed in” or “pulled out” to adjust the size of the valve opening until the desired flow through the valve is obtained. Once the desired flow is achieved the push-pull rod is then rotated back through the predefined angle to its original position where the spring engages the teeth in the push-pull rod to prevent any further linear motion of the push-pull rod thereby effecting a lock of the valve at the selected position.

    摘要: A method and apparatus is provided for snap-fit attachment of a throttle shaft to a throttle body. A pair of resilient cantilevered tangs is formed on a distal end of the throttle shaft. Bearings are installed within a bore formed in the throttle body to rotatably support the shaft. The shaft is inserted through an opening in the bearings to compress the tangs and the tangs are resiliently returned to an extended position to prevent withdrawal of the shaft from the throttle body.

    摘要: A seat cup seal for a valve includes a base portion and a nipple portion projecting outwardly from the base portion. The nipple portion and said base portion define a blind bore about a longitudinal axis that opens in the base portion. The nipple portion defines a transverse end wall at an outermost end relative to the base that is adapted for sealingly engaging an associated valve seat. A flexible shoulder portion interconnects the base portion and the nipple portion so that said nipple portion is selectively movable between a first, relaxed position where the transverse end wall is spaced a first distance from the base and a second, retracted position where the transverse end wall is spaced a second distance from the base, with the second distance being less than the first distance. A plurality of biasing ribs projects outwardly from and extending between the base portion and the nipple portion. The biasing ribs, which are conformed in one of several suitable arrangements, bias or urge the nipple portion toward the first position when it is in its second position. In this manner, the seat cup does not require a coil spring or other separate biasing agent to urge the transverse end wall into sealing engagement with the associated valve seat.

    摘要: A rotary diverter valve assembly having a low voltage low current drive motor driving the rotating valve shaft through a differential planetary gear train. The motor drives the sun gear which engages a first pitch diameter set of teeth on the carrier mounted orbiting planetary gears, the first set of planetary gear teeth also is engaged by a fixed outer ring gear. A second lesser pitch diameter set of coaxial teeth are provided on the planetary gears which engage an output ring gear attached to the rotary valve shaft. A torsion spring has one end attached to the planetary carrier and is wound up by the relative rotation of the carrier with respect to the sun gear during motor operation. In the event of motor failure during operation, the stored energy of the wound spring applies a torque to back rotate the carrier and effect rotation of the valve member to its initial position.
