    摘要: A system for operating a damper comprises a flue pipe assembly, and a damper movable between an open position and a closed position within the flue pipe assembly. At least one thermoelectric generator is coupled to a surface of the flue pipe assembly. Operation of the damper is achieved by the thermoelectric generator harvesting thermal energy from the flue pipe assembly and converting it into usable electrical energy for actuation of the damper.

The proposed flue solves the problems of fouling within back-flow vortex regions of heat transfer pipes, and condensation on heating surfaces in the tail of the flue wall (1), as well as being beneficial for boiler start-up and load adjustment thereof.

    摘要: A heater including a heat dump opening and a heat dump cover moveable between an open and a closed position to selectively block flow of fluid through the heat dump opening. The heat dump opening is formed in the top of the housing, and the heat dump cover is biased toward the open position. The cover moves to an open position in response to a sensed preselected limit temperature to vent excessively heated air to ambient to prevent damage to the heater and a duct system and a building to which the heater may be connected. Air escaping the heater via the heat dump opening may cause replacement air to be drawn into the heater to cool the heater, including electrical components of the heater located near an inlet and an outlet of the heater.

    摘要: A chimney damper for round flues that includes a rigid peripheral frame surrounding an open window area, a cap moveable toward and away from the open window to selectively close and open the same and springs interconnecting the cap and frame resiliently urging the cap to an open position. The square, rectangular, or round frame includes a shirt adapted to form or connect to a cylindrical base which comprises a round open window and thus can be configured for use on a round flue. The springs are preferably torsion springs and are located within the cap assembly and the open window area defined by the peripheral frame. The cap is guided during its movement toward and away from the frame by the springs and during such movement the cap rotates a partial turn relative to the frame to which it is connected by the springs.

    摘要: A bio-mass fueled boiler operating at delivered efficiencies in excess of 90%. Pre-heated, pressurized primary combustion air is supplied to a primary burn chamber via horizontal and vertical orifice containing conduits. Exhaust gases are directed past a reflective secondary burner supplying pre-heated, pressurized secondary combustion air into a secondary burn/ash collection chamber. Exhaust gases are directed from the secondary burn chamber via exhaust conduits having axial and cross-sectional shapes and wall geometries that promote internal turbulence and heat transfer. One or more gas/oil fired burners are fitted to or between the primary and secondary combustion chambers. Several operating modes are provided via associated blowers, air baffles, liquid and gas fuel conduits, pumps and sundry stove sensors and servos coupled to microprocessor control circuitry.

The second turning vane is moveable between a blocking position in which it blocks communication between the selective catalytic reactor and the flue gas outlet and a flow guiding position in which the curved extent of the second turning vane guides flue gas from the selective catalytic reactor to the flue gas outlet.

    摘要: The invention relates to a discharge system for combustion gases of a gas turbine or the like, whereby one end of a discharge pipe is connected to the gas turbine or the like. The other end of the discharge pipe is connected to a heat exchanger. A branch pipe, which extends transversely to the discharge pipe, is connected to the discharge pipe. A valve mechanism is adjustable between a first position, in which the end of the branch pipe connecting to the discharge pipe is closed, and a second position, in which the discharge pipe is closed downstream of the connection of the branch pipe to the discharge pipe. The passage of the branch pipe is larger than that of the discharge pipe.
