摘要: Embodiments of the disclosure are directed at determining rotor deterioration in a dynamoelectric machine. Various current and voltage measurements are carried out upon an exciter assembly when the dynamoelectric machine is operated at various speeds and at various occasions over an extended period of time. More particularly, a set of current and voltage measurements that are carried out when the dynamoelectric machine is in a slow-roll mode of operation can be used for determining a resistance of a current path through which the exciter assembly provides electrical power to a rotor assembly. A time-domain-to-frequency-domain conversion can be carried out upon this set of resistance measurements in order to generate a spectral signature. The spectral signature can then be evaluated to detect an altered rotor resistance condition and/or a rotor resistance alteration trend.

摘要: A method evaluates a frequency spectrum representative of at least one time-dependent signal, the at least one time dependent signal being derived from an output from a measuring device under predetermined measuring device operating conditions. The time-dependent signal, includes a portion being representative of a wanted signal, and a portion being representative of noise. The method includes the steps of determining, based on the frequency spectrum of the signal, a value representative of the noise floor, identifying, based on the frequency spectrum of the signal derived under the predetermined operating condition, a peak component, and if the peak component satisfies a relative peak criterion determined on the basis of the determined value representative of the noise floor, determining the wanted signal by applying a predetermined algorithm. The invention further relates to a method for determining flow of a measuring device, and a sensor.

摘要: A software-defined radiometer includes dual RF front end channels. One RF front end channel processes the horizontal polarization signals and the other RF front end channel processes the vertical polarization signals. Each RF front end channel includes a power splitter for splitting the polarization signals into a plurality of identical polarization signals, a filter bank of N-bandpass filters that have the same bandwidth but different center frequencies and a multi-input switch. The bandpass filters filter the horizontal and vertical polarization signals and provide a plurality of filtered horizontal and vertical polarization signals. A control circuit issues a control signal to the multi-input switch so as to route a desired one of the plurality of filtered horizontal and vertical polarization signals to a programmable frequency converter. The programmable frequency converter includes a programmable local oscillator that is configured to generate signals having any one of N frequencies and is used to produce intermediate frequency representations of the horizontal and vertical polarization signals. The intermediate frequency representations are converted into digital signals and processed to extract desired information and data.

The method may include the steps of: acquiring a first set of k-space data, acquiring a second set of k-space data, generating the convolution kernel of the first set of k-space data based on the first set of k-space data and the second set of k-space data, performing inverse Fourier transform on the convolution kernel of the first set of k-space data to obtain an inversely transformed convolution kernel of the first set of k-space data, and generating a corrector based on the inversely transformed convolution kernel of the first set of k-space data. The method may be implemented on a machine including at least one processor and storage.

摘要: An oscilloscope including an input port for receiving training data including waveforms and corresponding known classifications and a processor for training a plurality of classifiers on the training data. Training includes iteratively applying each classifier to each waveform of the training data to obtain corresponding predicted waveform classifications and comparing the predicted waveform classifications with the known classifications. Classifiers are corrected when predicted waveform classifications does not match the known classifications. Models for each classification are constructed with suggested measurements or actions. Subsequently, live waveform data is captured by the oscilloscope and the classifiers are applied to the live data. When a confidence value for a single classification exceeds a threshold, the waveform data is classified, and suggested measurements or actions are implemented in the oscilloscope based on the classification.

摘要: The system includes a positioning system for mounting the circuit board to be tested and for mounting a sensor assembly. A control system registers the position of the sensor assembly relative to the circuit board to be tested and for moving the sensor assembly about the circuit board. The sensor assembly detects noise or other emissions generated by the circuit elements on the board. The noise emissions are separate from the operating signals of the circuit. The spectrum analyzer receives the emissions from the sensor assembly and produces frequency spectrum data over a selected frequency range with amplitude information. A processing system then compares the frequency spectrum information with frequency spectrum information from boards known to be good and provides information as to any differences and whether they are in an acceptable tolerance range.

摘要: A fault condition is diagnosed in an electric machine that includes a rotor and a plurality of permanent magnets. To do so, the rotor is rotated so that each of the plurality of permanent magnets passes a magnetic flux density sensor, and the values of magnetic flux density are measured using the magnetic flux density sensor at a plurality of positions of the rotor. The measured values of magnetic flux density are analyzed and a magnitude of a peak amplitude is compared in a time or frequency domain with a reference value. If the peak amplitude is below the reference value, the electric machine is determined to have a fault condition.
