摘要: A portable X-ray detector unit includes a portable, hand-held cassette having exposure detection fields for measuring the level of radiation to which a subject to be imaged is exposed. An Automatic exposure control terminates radiation supplied to a subject when it is determined that the level of exposure exceeds a predetermined threshold as interpreted in the portable detector unit. A user-interface is provided to control the exposure detection fields and/or the automatic exposure control.

摘要: The dead time of a pulse type X-ray detector is measured without estimation of a true X-ray intensity. The first and the second conditions are used for varying an intensity of an X-ray entering the X-ray detector. The first condition may be the slit width of a receiving slit, at least three kinds of slit width being selected. The second condition may be with or without an absorption plate. The first observed X-ray intensities are observed, with the absorption plate inserted, for three or more values in slit width. Next, the second observed X-ray intensities are observed similarly but with the absorption plate removed. A predetermined relational expression is made up among the first observed X-ray intensity, the second observed X-ray intensity, a ratio k of the second observed X-ray intensity to the first observed X-ray intensity (depending upon attenuation in X-ray intensity caused by the absorption plate) and the dead time τ of the X-ray detector. Based on the relational expression, a fitting operation is carried out with the least squares method so as to determine the dead time τ precisely.

摘要: A diagnostic X-ray apparatus emitting pulsed X-ray radiation includes a processor for performing digital X-ray subtraction of a previous mask image from current images. The apparatus includes circuitry for digitization of the video signals from an image intensifier-TV chain, digital subtraction to obtain digital difference signals, and subsequent reconversion of the resultant digital difference video signals to analog signals. Pulsed X-ray exposures are performed during the blanking periods of the TV camera following which the television fields immediately following the pulsed X-ray exposure are scanned and read out, and are supplied to the processor for performing the digital X-ray subtraction.

摘要: An X-ray imaging diagnostic apparatus emitting a low X-ray radiation dose is disclosed as comprising an X-ray generating source for exposing an object, an optical system having a fluorescent screen for receiving the X-ray image at an aperture portion thereof, a high sensitivity imaging device coupled directly to the optical system and receiving an X-ray image from the fluorescent screen for radiographing the X-ray image, a control unit for amplifying the output from the high sensitivity imaging device and for controlling the exposure time of X-ray radiation emitted from the X-ray generating source, an image storing memory circuit connected to the control unit for storing an image signal therefrom and a monitor circuit for displaying the image signal. The exposure time of the X-ray generating source is controlled to be at most less than 1/100 second by the control unit and the image of an object obtained on the fluorescent screen is imaged with a high resolution and a high sensitivity so that the resultant image can be recorded and monitored. The exposure time of the X-ray radiation is decreased as low as possible by using the high sensitivity imaging device, so that an X-ray radiation dose applied to a human body is lowered as compared to conventional X-ray diagnostic apparatus.

摘要: A power supply and timing circuit for an X-ray tube capable of maintaining constant X-ray exposure values and stable peak plate voltage despite relatively large variations in the voltage of the source from which the power supply is fed. The cathode-to-plate current in the X-ray tube is varied responsively to changes in the voltage of the source, thereby varying the load on the high voltage transformer and holding its output voltage at a constant value despite changes in the source voltage. Changes in the cathode-to-plate current may be compensated for by the use of a milliampere-second integrator to time the exposure.

The method may further include deflecting the electron beam onto a first region of the focal track at a first time, and deflecting the electron beam onto a second region of the focal track at a second time. The first region of the focal track may be separated from the second region of the focal track. The method may further include generating X-rays in response to the electron beam deflected onto the first region of the focal track or onto the second region of the focal track.
