摘要： As one embodiment, a paper feeding device is provided with a pickup roller for pulling out an uppermost positioned sheet of loaded sheets, and a paper feeding roller for transporting the sheet pulled out by the pickup roller. Spanning between the pickup roller and the paper feeding roller, a roller belt is provided that is capable of moving relatively in a circumferential direction with respect to an outer circumferential surface of the paper feeding roller. The roller belt obtains rotational drive from the pickup roller.

摘要： Equipment for transferring sheets with change of direction for sheets entering along a first direction comprising output rollers to move the sheets along a second direction, right-angled with respect to the first direction, and members of engagement and movement, actuatable for engaging and moving the sheets entering along the first direction along the second direction up to the engagement with the output rollers. The members of engagement and movement provide a condition of reception which define a space of reception for the entering sheets and a condition of engagement and movement which engage and move the sheets for the engagement with the output rollers. The members of engagement and movement return to the condition of reception upon the engagement of the entered sheet with the output rollers for enabling a following sheet to enter and to be moved along the first direction jointly with the movement of the previously entered sheet along the second direction.

摘要： An apparatus for de-stacking flexible, planar products has a support for supporting a product stack in a de-stacking position adjacent a product exit and a picking head movably mounted above the de-stacking position for movement up and down between an upper position and a lower position. The picking head is first driven downwards to a location adjacent an upper product in the stack. The picking head is rotatable and has a series of spaced picking members, and is driven so that picking members as they rotate engage successive products in the stack at the trailing edge and peel the product forwardly over itself and off the stack into the product exit. A control unit controls operation of the picking head assembly so as to repeatedly index the picking head assembly downwards into new product engaging positions as the height of stack is reduced.

摘要： A media cassette for a media dispenser includes a cassette body which includes a storage space in which media are filled and a discharging opening through which the media are discharged. A door selectively opens and closes the discharging opening. A solenoid and locking member are installed in the storage space to selectively lock and unlock the door in response to an external electrical signal. A gear unit is formed at an external surface of the door, and an opening/closing gear of the media dispenser is engaged with the gear unit to open and close the door. The solenoid is installed in the cassette body, and the locking member is also installed in the cassette body to lock and unlock the door via a driving force of the solenoid.

摘要： A method and apparatus for processing mail is provided. Mail is placed into an input bin having a conveyor that conveys the mail towards a feeder. The feeder serially feeds the envelopes by engaging the lead envelope in the stack of mail and displacing the lead envelope transverse the stack of mail. The mail is then cut on a side edge and the top edge to cut open each envelope. A transport conveys the cut envelopes to an extractor. The extractor opens the edge-severed mail and presents the contents of the envelopes to an operator who manually extracts the contents. The operator drops the extracted contents onto a conveyor that conveys the contents to an imaging station. The contents are automatically separated and imaged to obtain image data for the contents. The contents are then sorted into a plurality of output bins.

The sheet feeder having one control to adjust the height of both sides of one shaft so that the rollers apply the same force to both sides of the sheet to feed the sheet straight preventing the sheets from jamming in the sheet feeder. The sheet feeder can have manual or electronic height adjustments. The gap between the shafts can be quickly and easily changed for quickly changing production runs with different thickness product. The shafts are three-piece shafts for ease of changing the rollers on the shaft. All the bearings are pregreased and sealed to protect the bearings from dirt and debris. Rods connect the height adjustment on both sides of the shaft so both sides are adjusted by the same amount at the same time.

摘要： An automated banking machine (10) identifies and stores in storage areas documents such as currency bills deposited by a user. The machine selectively recovers such documents from storage areas and dispenses them. The machine includes a central transport (70) wherein documents deposited in a stack are unstacked, oriented and identified. Such documents are then routed to storage areas in canisters (92, 94, 96, 98). Documents in the storage areas are selectively picked therefrom and delivered to a user through an input/output area (50) of the machine. Each canister includes a memory (626) which holds information concerning the number and type of documents housed in the canister as well as other information concerning the hardware and software resident on the canister. The memory also includes data representative of individuals responsible for loading and transporting the canister. The machine conducts self-auditing activities to verify that the documents held in the storage areas correspond to the information stored in memory and indicate discrepancies.
