摘要: A recording apparatus includes a carriage, a transport drive roller, and a plurality of gears. The carriage includes a recording head configured to record onto a medium. The carriage is configured to move in a movement region in a first direction and a second direction that is an opposite direction thereto. The transport drive roller is configured to transport the medium to a recording region in which the recording head performs recording. The plurality of gears are configured to transmit power of a motor to the transport drive roller. When the carriage is positioned at an end of the movement region in the second direction, at least a portion of one of the plurality of gears overlaps the carriage when viewed along a vertical direction that is parallel to a direction of gravity and overlaps the recording head when viewed along an axial direction of the transport drive roller.

摘要: In accordance with an embodiment, an image forming apparatus comprises a sheet feed section and a conveyance control section. The sheet feed section is provided with a plurality of cassettes in which sheets of a plurality of categories are stored for each category of the sheets, and feeds a sheet stored in the cassettes. The conveyance control section enables, in a case in which a sheet is fed from a cassette in which sheets to be printed after the printing surfaces thereof are aligned are stored among the cassettes, a reversal unit reversing the front side and the back side of the sheet at the time when the sheet is fed to convey and discharge the sheet regardless of a printing method designated by a user.

摘要: There is provided a sheet tray including: a first tray; a second tray supported by the first tray; and a third tray supported by the second tray. The second tray has a first engaging section engageable with the first tray at a second position; the third tray has a second engaging section contactable with the second tray, in a drawing direction from a first position toward the second position, at a fifth position between a third and a fourth position, and engageable with the second tray at the fourth position. The second engaging section is configured to be elastically deformable to be movable in a releasing direction in which the contact between the second engaging section and the second tray is released. The second and third trays are moved integrally in the drawing direction in a state that the second engaging section makes contact with the second tray.

摘要: A system for singly dispensing fibrous filters from bulk includes a grasping tool having a handle with a working end and a container with an opening. The opening has an edge, and at least a portion of the edge or an edge trim member is shaped so that bulk fibrous filters cannot pass freely through the opening in the container when they are inside and so that at least a portion of a top filter is accessible and graspable by the working end of the grasping tool. The edge trim member has a downwardly extending wall and tab members extending inward from the wall. The edge of the opening of the container has cutouts for receiving the tab members. The tab members can pass freely through the cutouts so that the edge trim member and the tab members can rotate freely relative to the container to define a locked position with the tab members underneath the edge of the opening so that the trim member can be releasably secured to the container. The edge trim member has a planer platform for rotating the trim member relative to the container and so that a user can move the container and the trim member together as a single unit. The planer platform has a cutout extending therethrough. The handle of the grasping tool includes a planer body with a front end with a pick extending outwardly therefrom and a tongue extending obliquely from the body. The cutout of the planer platform receives the tongue to releasably secure the grasping tool to the platform.

摘要: A sheet width aligning device includes an elevator tray, a pair of guides, and a pinion. The pinion is rotatably supported by inserting a shaft portion into a shaft hole formed in the pinion. The shaft portion projects from the elevator tray. The sheet width aligning device is configured to move the pair of guides so as to increase or decrease the distance between the guides in operative association with the pair of racks meshed with the pinion. The sheet width aligning device includes a pressing mechanism. The pressing mechanism is provided on the back face side of the elevator tray and includes an abutment member that abuts against the pinion. The pressing mechanism separates the abutment member away from the pinion at the lower position, while abutting the abutment member against the pinion to press the pinion at the upper position.

摘要: To provide a structure for coupling a rotary actuator to a driven body whereby vibration and noise are reduced and assembly, disassembly, and maintenance after attachment to another device are made easy. This structure comprises the following: support parts laid out opposite a frame; a driven body positioned between said support parts; a shaft that holds said driven body and acts as a rotary shaft; and a rotary actuator coupled to said shaft. One end of the shaft is rotatably supported by one of the support parts, and the other end of the shaft is supported by being coupled to the rotary actuator through the opposing frame by being fitted into a tubular recess formed in the output shaft of the rotary actuator. A protrusion that is formed on the rotary actuator and cushioned in the direction of rotation is fitted into an engagement hole in the frame so as to affix the rotary actuator to the frame.
