    摘要: An extendable spool is disclosed. The length of the extendable spool is able to continuously varied. The extendable spool accounts for length variances in flow lines by extending the flow line rather than redirecting the flow. Because the flow direction does not make any turns, erosion is minimized on both the extendable spool and downstream parts. The extendable spool is readily scalable from small diameters to large diameters. Because of this, it requires fewer lines and therefore less setup time to account for length differences between large diameter lines.

    摘要: A fitting, such as an anti-blowback fitting, that includes a friction reducing device that enables easy removal of the fitting from a high pressure connection such as one associated with an HVAC unit. When used in connection with refrigeration, anti-blow back fittings function to keep the refrigerant in the hose to which it is connected in order to minimize or prevent the refrigerant from escaping to the environment. In certain embodiments, a friction reducing device is positioned in the fitting, and decreases the load on the rear housing, which enables easy rotation of the outer or swivel housing of the fitting to remove the same from the high pressure connection. In certain embodiments, the friction reducing device is a thrust bearing.

    摘要: A foldable drain pipe for draining effluent from a decanter in a settling tank in a water treatment system, comprising a plurality of pipe sections sealingly connected together end to end by pivotable elbow coupling pairs to form an articulated drain foldable in a vertical direction. The drain pipe is attachable at an upper end to the decanter and at a lower end to a tank outlet in the tank wall. The drain pipe can support its own weight and cannot come into contact undesirably with any other portion of the tank wall. The pipe unfolds upward as needed when the decanter and effluent level are high, and folds compactly between the decanter and the tank outlet when the decanter and effluent level are low. Multiple hobble apparatus options may be selected as defined herein to prevent rotational hyperextension of any of the elbow coupling pairs to assure that the pipe folds correctly.

    摘要: A swivel joint comprises a tubular female member which is rotatably connected to a tubular male member. The female member includes a female race portion having an axially extending inner annular recess, a female inner end portion which is formed at an axially inner end of the recess, and a number of inner annular grooves which are formed in the recess coaxially therewith. The male member includes a male race portion having an annular outer surface which is configured to be received in the recess, a male nose portion which is formed at an end of the male race portion, and a number of outer annular grooves which are formed on the outer surface coaxially therewith. The male race portion is positioned in the female race portion such that the male nose portion is located adjacent the female inner end portion and each outer groove is aligned with a corresponding inner groove to thereby define a number of annular bearing races within which a plurality of balls are received to thereby rotatably connect the male member to the female member. The swivel joint includes a first primary seal which is positioned between the male nose portion and the female inner end portion, and a second primary seal which is positioned between the male nose portion and the female inner end portion radially outwardly of the first primary seal. The male and female members define a flow bore through the swivel joint which is sealed by the first primary seal and, in the event of a failure of the first primary seal, the second primary seal.
