Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to an energy storage and retrieval system for the generation of power. A compressor (301) pressurizes ambient air. The pressurized air flow passes through a thermal energy regenerator (280) for thermal energy storage and retrieval and onto an expander (302) for generating mechanical power. The compressor (301) and the expander (302) are coupled to an electrical machine (304) through a common shaft (303). The regenerator (280) comprises one or more Thermal Energy Storage (TES) units which can be coupled to one another in a parallel configuration. The TES units comprise a thermal medium for the storage and retrieval of thermal energy.

The first rotary motion is forward and reverse rotary motions that are output by the electric motor as the drive device drives the electric motor to repeat forward rotation and reverse rotation. The second rotary motion is a unidirectional rotary motion. Regenerative electric power generated in the electric motor by the electric motor repeating the forward rotation and the reverse rotation is supplied to the capacitor.

Abstract: A curtain motor is provided which comprises a housing and a motor core, a speed reducer and a circuit board are disposed in the housing; the motor core is fixedly connected to the speed reducer, and also electrically connected to the circuit board, wherein a through hole used for an output end of the speed reducer to transmit power is opened at an end of the housing; a support in communication with the through hole is integrally formed inside this end of the housing; the support is connected with the output end of the speed reducer; a bracket is further disposed in the housing, and one end of the bracket is connected with the motor core and the other end is connected with the circuit board. The motor core and the circuit board are assembled by the bracket to increase the assembling efficiency and lower the production costs.

Abstract: An electric motor comprises a stator presenting a first surface. A rotor is rotatable relative to the stator. The rotor presents a rotor raceway disposed in spaced relationship with the first surface of the stator. The first surface of the stator defines a plurality of slots in spaced relationship with one another to define a plurality of spaced teeth between the slots. At least one electrical conductor is disposed in each of the slots and configured to selectively create a moving magnetic field for acting upon the rotor for providing rotational movement of the rotor. A portion of the at least one electrical conductor extends substantially into radial alignment with, or past the first surface of the stator to at least partially define a stator raceway of the stator for engaging the rotor raceway of the rotor during relative radial movement between the rotor and the stator.

The rotor further includes a non-magnetic material located between the permanent magnets of each of the pairs of the permanent magnets, adjacent to the flux concentrating core and opposite from the stator, the non-magnetic material having a thickness (TH) in a radial direction. A steer-by-wire system for a vehicle includes a handwheel actuator including a TFM coupled to a steering wheel.
