Abstract: Techniques are described herein for retrieving application status data from a service provider and making a path selection based on that application status data. In some embodiments, the techniques may comprise receiving a request to access an application hosted by a service provider, generating a first data that includes an application programming interface (API) call to the application that includes at least an identifier for a tenant, determining a set of potential paths between the edge device and the application hosted by the service provider, providing the first data to the application endpoint via at least one path of the set of potential paths, receiving second data including an application status generated from metrics obtained in relation to the tenant, and selecting, based on the second data, a path of the set of potential paths to be used by the tenant to access the application.

Abstract: An interface circuit that interfaces a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) to a vertical-cavity surface emitting laser. The apparatus includes a first cascode amplifier that receives as input positive and negative differential outputs of the DAC and provides a positive amplified output and a negative amplified output, and a second cascode amplifier having a positive input and a negative input. The positive input of the second cascode amplifier being coupled to the positive amplified output of the first cascode amplifier. The second cascode amplifier is configured to generate a positive amplified current and a negative amplified current at a negative amplified output. The positive amplified current and the negative amplified current are combined and a resulting output current is provided as input to an anode of the laser. A transformer is coupled between the negative amplified output of the first cascode amplifier and the negative input of the second cascode amplifier.

Abstract: A method of orchestrating one or more radio resources among various services executing within a container. The method includes obtaining, by an orchestration engine executing on a network device, a request, from a first service of a plurality of services, for use of a physical/hardware resource that connects a container running on the network device to a network. The request from the first service has a particular priority. The plurality of services execute within the container. The method further includes determining whether to connect the first service to the network via the physical/hardware resource based on the priority and an availability status of the physical/hardware resource and establishing, at a kernel level, a connection between the first service and the physical/hardware resource based on the determining.

Abstract: Techniques for mitigating BGP blackholes and hijackings are disclosed herein. The techniques include methods for determining, by a victim autonomous system (AS), that a first AS is associated with a first BGP route that includes the victim AS as the destination or as an AS along the first BGP route to the destination and sending a message to a second AS directing the second AS to refrain from using the first AS to propagate data to the victim AS. The message can include a set of one or more AS numbers to avoid in refraining from using to propagate data to the victim AS, a timestamp, an expiration interval, a signature of the victim AS, and an identifier identifying a certificate to be used to verify the signature. Systems and computer-readable media are also provided.

Abstract: Techniques for tracking compute capacity of a scalable application service platform to perform dynamic bandwidth allocation for data flows associated with applications hosted by the service platform are disclosed. Some of the techniques may include allocating a first amount of bandwidth of a physical underlay of a network for data flows associated with an application. The techniques may also include receiving, from a scalable application service hosting the application, an indication of an amount of computing resources of the scalable application service that are allocated to host the application. Based at least in part on the indications, a second amount of bandwidth of the physical underlay to allocate for the data flows may be determined. The techniques may also include allocating the second amount of bandwidth of the physical underlay of the network for the data flows associated with the application.
