    Abstract: An electric actuator includes an electric motor, a nut, and a screw shaft threadedly inserted through the nut so as to be able to advance and retreat. The threads of the screw shaft include two flanks and a crest portion connecting the two flanks to each other. Grease is used as a lubricant. A groove portion, which is cut out from the crest portion toward a root portion side of the threads and holds grease, is formed on the threads of the screw shaft. Further, a tapered surface is formed at a groove portion side end of at least one of the two flanks, and the tapered surface inclines in a direction away from the groove portion and drags the grease held in the groove portion onto a threadedly engaged portion with the aid of the wedge effect. As a result, the electric actuator can promote lubrication.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a shock absorber serving as a cylinder device capable of securing a clearance between an outer tube and a peripheral member and improving bending rigidity of the outer tube.     Abstract: In a rack bar and a steering device using the same, an endmost tooth bottom for reducing a stress exerted on a first forging die during die forging of a rack tooth molding part is formed on the endmost side of a plurality of tooth bottoms. Specifically, the endmost tooth bottom is formed so that a depth thereof is less than a depth of an ordinary tooth bottom by a difference. This reduces an amount of flow of a material of the rack bar during formation of the endmost tooth bottom by an amount commensurate with the difference. As a result, the stress exerted on the first forging die can be reduced, and occurrence of heat checking in the first forging die can be suppressed.

An electromagnetic suction valve mechanism (electromagnetic valve mechanism) includes a suction valve (valve body), a rod engaged with the suction valve, and a magnetic attraction force generation unit that generates a magnetic attraction force for moving the rod in an axial direction. The rod is provided with a low friction portion. The low friction portion is set to a friction coefficient such that a frictional force generated between the rod and the rod contact component with which the rod is in contact is smaller than a rotational propulsive force of the rod.

    Abstract: An electric power steering device includes a motor housing of an electric motor. The motor housing includes an end face part opposite to an output part of a rotating shaft of the electric motor. An electronic control part is arranged at the end face part. A connector assembly is arranged on a side of the electronic control part opposite to a side of the electronic control part that faces the end face part. A metal cover for the electronic control part includes a bottom part and a lateral peripheral part. The bottom part includes: an exposure hole through which an external terminal forming part is exposed to outside; and an annular reinforcing projecting portion formed at an edge of the exposure hole. The lateral peripheral part is angled from the bottom part, and forms an opening through which the lateral peripheral part is fixed to the end face part.

    Abstract: Provided are a highly reliable load drive circuit that includes a switching circuit that selects a power supply voltage, and is capable of seamlessly switching the power supply voltage without using a switch or a determination circuit, an electronic control device using the load drive circuit, and a control method for the electronic control device. The load drive circuit includes: a booster circuit that boosts an output from a power supply; and a voltage switching circuit that switches the output from the power supply and an output from the booster circuit, in which the voltage switching circuit includes a first MOSFET, a second MOSFET, and a gate voltage generation circuit that generates gate voltages of the first MOSFET and the second MOSFET, gate terminals of the first MOSFET and the second MOSFET are connected to the gate voltage generation circuit, source terminals of the first MOSFET and the second MOSFET are connected to the same node, a drain terminal of the first MOSFET is connected to an output terminal of the booster circuit, a drain terminal of the second MOSFET is connected to an output terminal of the power supply, and the output from the power supply and the output from the booster circuit are seamlessly switched according to an output voltage from the power supply.
