Abstract: Various embodiments provide an encoder that performs an up-conversion and a down-conversion on a first quantization matrix to generate a second quantization matrix, and quantizes transform coefficients of a current block using the second quantization matrix. The first quantization matrix has a first number of rows and a first number of columns equal to the first number of rows, and the second quantization matrix has a second number of rows and a second number of columns different from the second number of rows. In the up-conversion, the circuitry generates the second quantization matrix such that one of the second number of rows or the second number of columns is larger than the first number of rows. In the down-conversion, the circuitry generates the second quantization matrix such that the other of the second number of rows or the second number of columns is smaller than the first number of rows.

Abstract: A method for use of a wireless terminal device includes transmitting a Probe request frame by using a quasi-omni antenna pattern in a first channel if beam-forming training with a wireless base station device is not completed, selecting the wireless base station device as a connection destination if a Probe response frame corresponding to the Probe request frame is received from the wireless base station device, and performing the beam-forming training with the wireless base station device in a second channel if a time period for receiving the Probe response frame from the wireless base station device has passed.

Abstract: Provided are systems and methods for transmitting data over a wireless channel from a data transmitting node to a data receiving node in a communication system. The data transmitting node comprises second-layer processing circuitry for receiving at least one second-layer SDU, to be mapped onto a resource allocated for data transmission, and for generating a second-layer PDU, including the at least one second-layer SDU and at least one second-layer control element, and first-layer processing circuitry for receiving the second-layer PDU generated by the second-layer processing circuitry and for mapping the second-layer PDU onto the resource allocated for data transmission. The data receiving node comprises first-layer processing circuitry for de-mapping at least one second-layer PDU, and second layer processing circuitry for receiving and parsing the second-layer PDU demapped by the first-layer processing circuitry, the second-layer PDU including at least one second-layer SDU, and at least one second-layer control element.

Abstract: A transmitting method includes: configuring a frame using a plurality of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols, by allocating time resources and frequency resources to a plurality of transmission data; and transmitting the frame, wherein the frame includes a first period in which a preamble which includes information on a frame configuration of the frame is transmitted, and a second period in which the plurality of transmission data are transmitted by at least one of time division and frequency division, and among the plurality of OFDM symbols, OFDM symbols included in the second period include pilot symbols arranged along a time axis with a predetermined spacing therebetween, and a predetermined number of data symbols.

The data repetition pattern corresponds to control information to be reported to the terminal (200) by dynamic signaling.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a mobile terminal, a base station and respective operation methods. The mobile terminal comprises circuitry, which in operation assumes that a base station is configured to use one of a plurality of transmission beams, receives a downlink control channel candidate and a corresponding demodulation reference signal using one of a plurality of reception beams corresponding to the assumed one of the plurality of transmission beams, performs channel estimation based on the received demodulation reference signal, and, depending on the quality, demodulates the downlink control channel candidate using the channel estimation. The channel estimation is performed using a demodulation reference signal sequence which is generated observing an association which is associating the generated sequence with the assumed one of the plurality of transmission beams such that at least two of the plurality of transmission beams are associated with different demodulation reference signal sequences.

Abstract: A decoder comprises circuitry and memory. The circuitry, using the memory, in operation, determines a number of first pixels and a number of second pixels used in a deblocking filter process, wherein the first pixels are located at an upper side of a block boundary and the second pixels are located at a lower side of the block boundary, and performs the deblocking filter process on the block boundary. The number of the first pixels and the number of the second pixels are selected from among candidates, wherein the candidates include at least 4 and M larger than 4. Response to a location of the block boundary being a predetermined location, the number of the first pixels used in the deblocking filter process is limited to be 4.
