Abstract:
A device for testing connectivity is provided. The device includes a first connector including a contact pin and a spacer for biasing the contact pin away from a spring contact pin of a second connector, when the first connector is inserted into the second connector. The device also includes an indicator, coupled to the contact pin of the first connector, for indicating whether the contact pin of the first connector is in contact with the spring contact pin of the second connector.
Abstract:
An RJ-45 jack having a groove to accommodate the width of an RJ-11 plug to allow the plug to rise upward and away from the outer contacts of the RJ-45 contacts upon inadvertent insertion of an RJ-11 plug into the RJ-45 jack.
Abstract:
A cable connector holder including a base configured to hold a plurality of cable connectors and a press part attached to the base and extending above the plurality of cable connectors, wherein the lever is configured to uniformly press down on each of the plurality of cable connectors to render the cable connectors collectively removable from a network device. The cable connector may further include a press prevention mechanism that prevents the press part from engaging the levers of the cable connectors, thereby preventing the removal of the plurality of connectors in the connector holder from a network device.
Abstract:
An electrical contactor draw out tray has a movable frame and a stationary frame in which the movable frame carries the electrical components for an electrical feeder circuit. The stationary frame is preferably housed within a power distribution center and has input terminals for the incoming electrical power and output terminals for delivering electrical power to equipment operating on the feeder circuit. The movable frame carries the contactors that control the flow of electricity through the apparatus as well as the electrical components to monitor conditions of the apparatus and various parameters for the electricity carried therein to for conditions such as short circuits, overloads, ground faults, overvoltages and undervoltages. A disconnect mechanism locks the movable frame relative the stationary frame and provides a primary means for disengaging electrical flow through the apparatus.
Abstract:
An interface adapted for high speed data transmission between network elements that decreases signal interference and cross-talk between the wires of a cable used for connecting the network elements. Various connection schemes are used for shielded pairs of wires within a cable used for the interface. The connection schemes may use pins having same or different pin numbers at the two network elements being connected. Shielded pairs carrying data in a common direction may be connected to adjacent sets of pins or to non-adjacent sets of pins. Certain pins at each element may remain unused. Pairs of the shielded pairs within the cable may be cross-connected between the two elements. Shielded pairs may be cross-connected while leaving sets of pins unused.
Abstract:
A Network Interface Device (NID) component includes a base configured to receive, in a cavity, both a subscriber wire contact and a provider wire contact. The component also includes a cover in movable attachment to the base, the cover including a bridge contact, wherein the bridge contact makes electrical connection between the subscriber wire contact and the provider wire contact when the cover is in a closed position and breaks the electrical connection when in an open position.
Abstract:
An automatic sensing power system automatically determines a power requirement for an electrical device, converts power to the required level, and outputs the power to the electrical device when the electrical device is connected to the automatic sensing power system.
Abstract:
A duplex-type connector selects to perform matching connection to a first specification slot and a second specification slot respectively. The duplex-type connector includes a main body and a rotating connection portion. The main body has a connecting portion equipping at the outer edge thereof and a connecting port corresponding to the dimension of the first specification slot to be capable of performing matching connection thereto. The rotating connection portion being connected to the connecting portion is capable of performing a rotating and flapping actions by the use of the connecting portion as a pivot. As the rotating connection portion approaches and contacts the distal of the end of the main body, the main body is capable of selecting to perform matching connection to the second specification slot that has a relatively larger hole. In this way, a single connector is capable of applying in two kinds of slot having different specifications. What is more, the rotating and flapping actions of the above-mentioned connecting portion is capable of effectively reducing the size of the main body structure.
Abstract:
A communication adapter for wall-mounting panel to provide better fastness, easy structure, lower production costs and powerful utility includes a casing comprised of an upper lid and a lower lid, a circuit board in the casing, plug and socket connecting to the circuit board, and locking hole on the lower lid to secure the upper lid to the lower lid with a locking pin; a locking tongue being disposed to the lower lid and a hole on the upper lid to allow pulling the locking tongue.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a system and method for distributing connections among a plurality of servers at an Internet site. All connections are made to a single IP address and a local director selects the server from among the plurality of servers which is to receive the connection. Thus, the DNS server is not relied upon to distribute connections, and the connection distribution scheme is not avoided when DNS is bypassed. In one embodiment, a session distribution scheme is implemented such that connections are distributed to the server in the group of servers which has the fewest connections of the group. In other embodiments, other session distribution schemes which route connections based on the predicted response times of the servers or according to a round robin scheme are used.
