Abstract: Provided content is determined to contain an asset represented by reference content by comparing digital fingerprints of the provided content and the reference content. The fingerprints of the reference content and the provided content are generated using a convolutional neural network (CNN). The CNN is trained using a plurality of frame triplets including an anchor frame representing the reference content, a positive frame which is a transformation of the anchor frame, and a negative frame representing content that is not the reference content. The provided content is determined to contain the asset represented by the reference content based on a similarity measure between the generated fingerprints. If the provided content is determined to contain the asset represented by the reference content, a policy associated with the asset is enforced on the provided content.

Abstract: A method for overlapping spectrum amplification includes receiving an optical signal and splitting the optical signal into a first split signal having a first wavelength band and a second split signal having a second wavelength band. The splitting results in a band gap between the first wavelength band and the second wavelength band. The method further includes delaying the first split signal by a threshold period of time relative to the second split signal and combining the first split signal and the second split signal, resulting in a combined signal having the first wavelength band and the second wavelength band without the band gap therebetween. The path difference between the first split signal along the first signal path and the second split signal along the second signal path is within a threshold multipath interference compensation range.

Abstract: An audience measurement service may monitor broadcasts in a region, ingesting closed captioning data, metadata, displayed text or logos, performing facial recognition on people, and/or generating audio/video fingerprints of broadcast content to create a database of content and associated keywords, along with times at which the content was broadcast. The audience measurement service may receive user search queries from a search provider and detect “spiking” queries. The audience measurement service may determine whether the spiking queries are related, contextually and temporally, to an item of content identified in the database, and infer that users generating the queries likely viewed the item of content. In some implementations, the audience measurement service may also infer that the users likely viewed other items of content (e.g. advertisements) displayed during the prior or subsequent few minutes on the same broadcast channel as the query-triggering item.
