Abstract: The disclosure relates to a stent assembly for placement of a stent within a ureter. In many embodiments, the stent assembly includes a band coupled to a proximal end of the stent. In many such embodiments, the band may extend into the urethra and facilitate removal of the catheter without the help of a medical professional or requiring a portion of the stent assembly (e.g., suture loop) to extend outside of the patient. In various embodiments, the band may include one or more features that promote patient comfort while the stent is positioned within a body, such as by being atraumatic and/or seamless.

Abstract: An improved guidewire may include an elongate shaft including a distal section and a proximal section extending proximally from the distal section. The elongate shaft includes a coiled portion disposed within the distal section. The coiled portion is curved in a first direction in a first plane. The elongate shaft includes a reverse curve portion curved in a second direction opposite the first direction. The reverse curve portion is disposed proximal of the coiled portion. A kit for forming the improved guidewire may include a guidewire having a coiled portion and a forming tool configured to form a reverse curve portion in the guidewire proximal of the coiled portion.

Abstract: Embodiments in the present disclosure relate to an anchoring and centering device for a circulatory support pump. An exemplary apparatus comprises an expandable anchoring device extending along a longitudinal axis, wherein the expandable anchoring device is arranged about a central axis. A distal portion of the expandable anchoring device defines an annulus through which the cardiac pump can be arranged and to which the cardiac pump can be releasable coupled. The exemplary apparatus also includes a constraining member arranged over the expandable anchoring device to constrain the expandable anchoring device in a constrained configuration for delivery of the anchoring apparatus.

Abstract: A clipping system includes an adapter configured to be mounted over an insertion device and a clip including first and second jaws movable between an insertion configuration and an initial deployed configuration. A first extending member is releasably coupled to the clip and movably connected to the adapter to permit a movement of the clip relative to the adapter from the insertion configuration to the initial deployed configuration. The first extending member is configured to permit withdrawal of the adapter away from the clip to place the system in a review configuration to enhance a visual observation of the clip. The first extending member is operable to retract the clip over the adapter so that the clip is forced open, freeing the clip from tissue on which it has been clipped. The first extending member is configured to release the clip therefrom in a final deployed configuration.
