Abstract: A method is disclosed for manufacturing a rotating part which belongs to a hydraulic machine of an installation for converting hydraulic energy into electrical or mechanical energy. This rotating part includes blades distributed about an axis of rotation of the rotating part and extending from a leading edge to a trailing edge. This method can include manufacturing, in steel, a first part of each blade, which defines the leading edge thereof, manufacturing a second part of the blade in a material other than steel and attaching this to the first part of the blade so as to form a trailing edge.

Abstract: Wind turbines are provided comprising a support structure having a tower and a nacelle mounted on the support structure. A first region (damper region) of the wind turbine including at least a first part of the nacelle is flexibly coupled to a second region (to be damped) of the wind turbine including at least the support structure. Methods are also provided for determining a suitable stiffness of the flexible coupling of the damper region to the region to be damped of any one of said wind turbines. These methods comprise determining a modal mass of the region to be damped depending on a given tower bending mode; and determining the stiffness of the flexible coupling of the damper region to the region to be damped depending on the calculated modal mass of the region to be damped and on the mass of the damper region.

Abstract: A rotor assembly for a wind turbine comprises a hub, a blade provided with a blade root portion and a strengthener for the blade root portion. The strengthener comprises a supporting part that strengthens the blade root portion and the supporting part comprises a supporting portion to temporarily support the blade. The supporting portion is made in one piece with the supporting part. The rotor assembly also comprises a number of first fasteners and second fasteners to fasten the blade root portion to the hub. The second fasteners are adapted to fasten the supporting part of the strengthener to the blade root portion when the latter is not fastened to the hub.
