Abstract:
The present invention is related to compounds of formula (I), or a therapeutically suitable salt or prodrug thereof, the preparation of the compounds, compositions containing the compounds and the use of the compounds in the prevention or treatment of disorders regulated by ghrelin including anorexia, cancer cachexia, eating disorders, age-related decline in body composition, weight gain, obesity, and diabetes mellitus.
Abstract:
In a time division multiplex access asynchronous transfer mode wireless network wherein network interface units (NIUs) are connected to a base transceiver station (BTS) by way of a radio frequency (RF) wireless link comprising time slots which are grouped into frames, there is presently no method or apparatus to allow dynamic bandwidth allocation while maintaining a minimum bandwidth allocation to NIUs. Using a combined Guaranteed Bandwidth Allocation (GBA) scheme with a Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (DBA) scheme, a configurable number of time slots can be permanently assigned to an NIU using GBA while the NIU can request additional timeslots using DBA. Using a queue occupancy threshold and a queuing delay threshold, the DBA scheme takes into account the GBA time slots which have been allocated, so that time slots are not unnecessarily requested by an NIU. At the BTS level, a time slot manager utilizes a frame look ahead procedure to allocate time slots based on the queue occupancy forwarded from the NIU. Additionally, a configurable parameter is defined which reflects the level of traffic in an NIU, to allow pro rated allocation of time slots.

The present invention is related to compounds of formula (I), or a therapeutically suitable salt or prodrug thereof, the preparation of the compounds, compositions containing the compounds and the use of the compounds in the prevention or treatment of disorders regulated by the action of ghrelin receptor, including Prader-Willi syndrome, eating disorder, weight gain, weight-loss maintainance following diet and exercise, obesity, and disorders associated with obesity such as noninsulin dependent diabetes mellitus.
Abstract:
A combined transmission unit for TMDS signals and LVDS signals. A first (LVDS) transmission unit includes a set of first input terminals to receive first data, and a second (TMDS) transmission unit includes a set of second input terminals to receive second data. A phase locked loop (PLL) generates a first set of output clock signals to the first transmission unit in a first mode and a second set of output clock signals to the second transmission unit in a second mode according to a mode selection signal. The first and second transmission units are able to transmit the first data to the first and second external input units in the first and second modes respectively, according to the mode selection signal and the first and second sets of output clock signals.
Abstract:
A combined transmission unit for TMDS signals and LVDS signals. A first (LVDS) transmission unit comprises a set of first input terminals to receive first data, and a second (TMDS) transmission unit comprises a set of second input terminals to receive second data. A switching controller enables the first transmission unit to transmit the first data to the first external input units through a pair of signal lines coupled to a set of common output line or enables the second transmission unit to transmit the second data to the second external input units through a pair of signal lines coupled to the set of common output line, according to a mode selection signal.
Abstract:
An ink jet recording material is constituted by a support and a recording layer on the support, in which a plurality of recording layer may be provided. At least one recording layer contains colloidal particles and a water-soluble resin. In order to produce the ink jet recording material, a sticking or adhesive interlayer is provided on a support, and a recording layer including at least one layer is superposed on the interlayer. At least one of the at least one layer of the recording layer contains colloidal particles and a water-soluble resin, and the recording layer is coated and formed on a forming material. Then, the forming material is peeled from said recording layer.
Abstract:
A method for storing a temperature threshold in an integrated circuit includes measuring operating parameters of the integrated circuit versus temperature, calculating a maximum temperature at which the integrated circuit performance exceeds predetermined specifications and storing parameters corresponding to the maximum temperature in a comparison circuit in the integrated circuit by selectively blowing fusable devices in the comparison circuit. The fusable devices may be antifuses.
Abstract:
A method of determining a clearance between a magnetic transducer and a magnetic recording medium during a track seeking operation, the magnetic recording medium being moveable with respect to the transducer and including at least a test track and a reference track, which method comprises the steps of: at least partially erasing a predetermined area of the recording medium including at least one test track and one reference track; writing a first series of predetermined magnetic transitions along a spiral trace, formed by seeking operation of the transducer, on the at least one test track in the predetermined area; reading the test track and obtaining a pulse width of signals read back from the test track (test track pulse width) at a predetermined amplitude level; writing a further series of predetermined magnetic transitions identical to the first series on a reference track of the recording medium in the predetermined area; reading the reference track and obtaining, a pulse width of signals read back from the reference track (reference track pulse width) at the predetermined amplitude level; and calculating the difference between the test track pulse width and the reference track pulse width, said difference being indicative of the clearance between the magnetic transducer and the magnetic recording medium during track seeking.

As a result, the integrated circuit is able to provide signals to devices external to the integrated circuit to indicate that the integrated circuit may be too hot to operate properly.
