    Abstract: A push bar locking mechanism for locking and unlocking a door also comprising a push bar arranged integral to a bar frame such that the push bar can be moved relative to the bar frame. An elongated link is integral to the push bar and bar frame and is movable in response to the push bar movement relative to the bar frame. The movement of the elongated link causes a door locking mechanism to move between a locked and unlocked position. An electromagnetic locking mechanism is included that can be changed between an energized and de-energized state by an electrical signal, wherein the electrical locking mechanism generates a magnetic field when energized. An armature is also included in proximity to the electromagnetic locking mechanism and the elongated link. The armature prevents movement of the elongated link when the electromagnetic locking mechanism is energized.

    Abstract: A door coordinator assembly which includes a door stop lever engageable with the active door in a pair of independently movable companion doors for both preventing untimely closing of the active door and providing a yieldable shock absorbing stop for the door. The lever is movably mounted on a fixed pivot so that it can move with respect to the pivot to thereby change the effective length of the lever, and the lever is hollow having an internal spring that urges the lever toward a position of maximum length. The spring is compressible to allow the door stop lever to be pivotally moved to a recessed position in response to an abnormally high closing force of the door. A trigger member, actuated by the inactive door, cooperates with a specially constructed body member that engages the door stop lever to normally keep the door stop lever in a position preventing closing of the active door ahead of the inactive door.

    Abstract: A door coordinating device for use with a pair of doors which have overlapping edges, astragals, or rabbeted faces, or for any other reason have a preferred sequence for closing. The device has a pivotally mounted door stop which engages and holds open the overlapping door which is properly closed last until the overlapped door is closed thus triggering a latch which then allows the overlapping door to close. The device also provides that the latch mechanism can be overridden when sufficient force is exerted on the overlapping door regardless of the position of the overlapped door.

    Abstract: A door system includes a controller for controlling the door system. A user computer system transmits information to the controller over a wireless connection to modify operating parameters for controlling the operation of the door system. During installation of the door system sensors may be utilized to determine if the door system has been installed properly. The sensors may be used to identify if the door system is mounted level and plum, and to review the movement, vibration, speed, acceleration, force, or the like of the sensors, and thus, the components to which the sensors are operatively coupled in order to make adjustments to the door assembly. Furthermore, the operating parameters of the installed door system, may be cloned and provided to other door systems in order to quickly clone and distribute the operating parameters of one or more door systems to one or more other door systems.

    Abstract: An assist apparatus utilized within a door system to aid in opening the door. The assist apparatus may include one or more door activation devices (e.g., a first door activation device and a second door activation device, such as pulls on opposite sides of a sliding door) that can rotate around a pivot location. Moreover, the assist apparatus may further include one or more assist components operatively coupled to the one or more door activation devices. The door activation device(s) are configured to be operatively coupled to a sliding door and allow for rotation of at least a portion of the door activation device. The assist component(s) of the door activation device(s) aid in opening or closing the sliding door by engaging a door frame, wall, or the like as the door activation device is rotated.
