    摘要： A method and apparatus for collaborative chatting on a plurality of hand held computer systems are disclosed. A Bluetooth communication may be established among several hand held computer systems. A participants list may be cached from previous sessions, eliminating a typical step of discovery. Collaborative chatting software may be automatically initiated on the hand held systems in the group. Information entered by any member of the group may be displayed in substantially real time on all hand held computer systems. Information may be color coded to identify its source. In this novel manner, collaborative chatting on a plurality of hand held computer systems may occur, resulting in richer, more efficient and more secure communication between group members.

The automated banking machine includes a card reader that is operative to read data from user cards corresponding to a financial account. The automated banking machine further includes a sheet accepting device that is operative to receive at least one of notes and checks. A note acceptor includes at least one validator that includes at least one ultrasonic detector. The at least one validator is operative to identify suspect counterfeit notes produced by assembling pieces of genuine notes by identifying seams or other fastening features in the notes where such pieces are joined. The note validator may further include image sensors and/or radiation transmission sensors which are further usable to identify the presence of seams or other fastening features that can distinguish valid and suspect counterfeit notes.

    摘要： A method of rendering digital media encoded content on a client electronic device is disclosed. The digital encoded media content comprises digital encoded local media content stored on the client electronic device and/or digital encoded radio media content provided via a network from a remote computing device to the client electronic device. The method includes: indicating a radio playlist that defines a rendering sequence for the digital encoded media content; and determining if a portion of the digital encoded media content to be rendered is stored as digital local media content in a memory of the client electronic device. The digital encoded radio media content not stored as digital encoded local media content on the client electronic device is received, on the client electronic device, from the remote computing device via the network. The digital encoded local media content stored in the memory of the client electronic device and the received digital encoded radio media content is rendered in the rendering sequence defined by the radio playlist.
