Abstract:
A modifiable transmitter is used with an operator to control a position of a barrier. The operator includes a controller for comparing radio frequency transmissions received with stored serial numbers so that the controller can move the barrier when a radio frequency transmission matches any one of the stored serial numbers. The transmitter includes a housing that carries an encoder. A function button is carried by the housing, wherein actuation of the button generates in a first non-standard way a new serial number that can be learned by the controller to allow the modifiable transmitter to move the barrier by emitting the radio frequency transmission. A second non-standard way, which can only be implemented after use of the first non-standard way, may also be used to generate a new serial number. A restricted access button may also be activated to generate a new serial number.
Abstract:
A method of producing glass as an abrasive media for cutting materials includes the steps of providing a glass feed stock and reducing the glass feed stock in size to produce glass particles with a high angularity and low aspect ratio. The method also includes the step of classifying the glass particles to remove at least one of coarses and fines. The method further includes the steps of size classifying the glass particles to produce an abrasive media with a predetermined size classification for use in abrasivejet cutting of materials.
Abstract:
A method of making a special high strength cement of the Portland type containing alite of improved hydraulic activity, wherein argillaceous and calcareous materials are combined to form clinker by heating in a kiln and the resulting clinker is ground to form a cement, comprising the step of introducing into the kiln a combination of mineralizers which contains fluorine and sulphur, provided that an alkali metal compound which can be a component of the aforesaid combination of mineralizers is included in the combination of mineralizers at least when the condition that the lime saturation factor be at least 0.98 and the silica ratio be at least 4 is not met.
Abstract:
A technique for executing a plurality of applications on a GPU. The technique involves establishing a first connection to a first application and a second connection to a second application, establishing a universal processing context that is shared by the first application and the second application, transmitting a first workload pointer to a first queue allocated to the first application, the first workload pointer pointing to a first workload generated by the first application, transmitting a second workload pointer to a second queue allocated to the second application, the second workload pointer pointing to a second workload generated by the second application, transmitting the first workload pointer to a first GPU queue in the GPU, and transmitting the second workload pointer to a second GPU queue in the GPU, wherein the GPU is configured to execute the first workload and the second workload in accordance with the universal processing context.
