Abstract:
A thermostat-regulated sanitary mixing tap has a cold water inlet (1), a hot water inlet (2), a mixed water outlet, a temperature control and regulation block (5), a control and regulation piston (6), temperature-dependent regulating means (7) which cooperate with the control and regulation piston (6), an actuating lever, restoring spring means (35) which bias the control and regulation piston (6) in the direction of the regulating means (7), a cold water ring-shaped chamber (15) and an adjacent hot water ring-shaped chamber (16). To control the temperature, the control and regulation piston (6) may be set at an initial position with respect to the temperature control and regulation block (5), in order to determine the initial temperature, and may be controlled by the regulating means (7) in order to regulate the temperature. In order to prevent the temperature of the mixed water from being affected by any leakage currents from the cold water (15) and/or hot water (16) ring-shaped chambers and to achieve a control and/or regulation which is as free as possible from such influences, at least one ring-shaped sealing membrane (16) provided between the temperature control and regulation block (5) and the control and regulation piston (6) insulates the cold water ring-shaped chamber (15) from the hot water ring-shaped chamber (16) or insulates the cold water (15) and/or the hot water (16) ring-shaped chambers from the outside.
Abstract:
A suitable design is given of a closure damper for a sanitary water fitting, especially in the form of a single-handle mixing unit, with a casing, an activation handle, and with a control unit presenting a disk, piston, balls, or the like, as well as a closure damper to extend the closure time and reduce the closure rate arranged between the handle and the fitting casing, whereby the closure damper is designed as a piston and cylinder unit. It is provided for watertight membrane (20) to surround piston and cylidner unit (16, 17) outside, connected with cylinder (16) on the one hand and piston (17) on the other, watertight in both cases, which forms membrane chamber (24) when piston (17) is pushed in, and a flow connection exists between inside space (25) of cylinder (16) sealed against piston (17) and the outside of cylinder (16) encircled by membrane (20).
Abstract:
In a sanitary water valve having a control member which consists of three disk cams arranged above one another and which is enclosed by a casing, whereby the lower and the upper disk cam are stationary and the middle disk cam is moveable relative to the stationery disk cams by an actuator which engages in it, whereby the actuator, which is arranged in two planes to tilt and to swivel, passes through the casing lid and the upper stationery disk cam, the bearing of the actuator is to be improved. To this end, the actuator 23 is seated on bearings (30) which are arranged on casing 12, which encloses the control member 11, in such a manner that the fulcrum of the actuator (23) is situated in the plane of the casing lid (15).
Abstract:
A sanitary mixing valve for controlling the flow and mix of hot and cold water supplied respectively from a hot water inlet and a cold water inlet. The valve includes a valve body coupleable to the hot and cold water inlets and having a water outlet. A disk packet is supported on the valve body and includes a control disk. The control disk includes a mixing chamber for receiving a mix of the hot and cold water. A temperature-dependent control element is positioned on the control disk to directly measure the temperature of the mixed water in the mixing chamber. The temperature of the water emerging from the water outlet is regulated according to the measured temperature.
Abstract:
An electronic temperature control method and apparatus unit for a mixing valve for plumbing fixtures. The loop gain in the control unit is at least approximately inversely proportional to the instantaneous slope of the characteristic curve of the mixing valve, and the slope of the characteristic curve is determined from the instantaneous conditions of valve opening, hot and cold supply temperatures and mix temperatures.
Abstract:
An assembly is provided for the prevention of scalding in showers and other such installations. The assembly includes a valve assembly within a mixed water supply line and a temperature sensitive element for controlling the operation of the valve assembly. The valve assembly is preferably designed to allow some leakage when in the closed position.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a straight-way and shut-off valve in which identical discs are arranged in face-to-face contact to provide a fluid-tight seal therebetween and means are provided whereby fluid is not trapped between the central rotatable disc and an outer disc so that upon expansion of the fluid, the discs do not shift outwardly due to axial pressure that would break the fluid-tight seal.
Abstract:
A row-crop harvester has a frame displaceable along the ground and formed with a plurality of forwardly opening throats at each of which is provided an endless conveyor chain spanned over a drive sprocket and an idler sprocket. A fluid cylinder mounted on the frame is provided for each of the idler sprockets so that when this cylinder is pressurized it can urge the respective idler sprocket away from the respective drive sprocket and tension the respective conveyor chain. A pressure-responsive switch is connected to each of the fluid cylinders and to a magnetic clutch between the drive for the chopper and drive sprockets for the harvester. When the pressure drops suddenly in any of the cylinders, as happens when a chain breaks, his pressure-responsive switch will respond and open the clutch to shut down the harvester.
