摘要: Deformable valves and atomizer designs for a vaporizer (e.g., electronic cigarette). The vaporizer may be used for vaporization of liquid and/or organic material. The vaporizer may enable enhanced flow control of fluid and may generate high quality and quantity of vapor efficiently. In some instances, flow path of the vaporizer may allow bulk fluid flow, e.g., in contrast to capillary flow, to deliver fluid to a vicinity of the vaporizer. In some instances, the vaporizer may utilize improved atomizer designs for vaporizing devices, where said designs can be configured optionally, with various embodiments of a breath-modulating deformable valve.

摘要: A system including: a temperature responsive polymer configured to expand to a cross-sectional area of a fluid channel when a temperature of the fluid in the fluid channel is greater than or equal to a temperature threshold Tth, and to retract to less than the cross-sectional area when the temperature of the fluid in the fluid channel is less than Tth, an expandable material layer surrounding the temperature responsive polymer and configured to expand and retract with the expansion and retraction of the temperature responsive polymer, and a sieve housing encasing the expandable material and being configured to be disposed in the fluid channel, wherein when the temperature of the fluid in the fluid channel is greater than or equal to Tth, the temperature responsive polymer expands to the cross-sectional area such that the expandable material layer prevents the fluid in the fluid channel from passing through the sieve housing.

The circuit arrangement includes at least one driver unit with at least one driver to activate the actuator with the at least one SMA element; at least one temperature sensor; and a control unit to control the driver unit, the control unit being configured to generate a control signal to control the driver unit. The control signal is determined from a) at least one actual filling level parameter; b) a temperature signal from the temperature sensor; c) a system parameter; and d) at least one of a target filling level parameter and a target filling level change parameter. A related seat and method of controlling same are also disclosed.

摘要: A tunable oscillating heat pipe system that includes an oscillating closed loop heat pipe configured for movement of a fluid in an internal passage in the closed loop to transfer heat from a first portion of the closed loop to a second portion. The heat pipe system further includes a valve arranged in a section of the internal passage movable between an open position and a closed position. In the open position, the valve is arranged to permit movement of the fluid in the internal passage and in the closed position, the valve is arranged in the internal passage to limit movement of the fluid in a part of the internal passage. Movement of the valve between the open position and the closed position can be a function of at least one of temperature at the first portion, temperature at the second portion, or temperature at the valve.

摘要: A valve assembly failsafe configured to be coupled to an actuator of a coolant control regulator assembly is provided. The valve assembly failsafe includes a wind arm, a spring that engages the wind arm under spring tension, a latch that engages the wind arm, a drive gear that engages the wind arm and the actuator, and a driver that engages the latch. The valve assembly failsafe is configured to be positioned in a set state where the latch engages and retains the wind arm under spring tension and the drive gear freely rotates during rotation of the actuator, and a tripped state where the driver rotates the latch to disengage the latch from the wind arm, causing the wind arm to rotate under the spring tension to engage the drive gear and cause the drive gear to drive the actuator to a default position.
