Abstract:
This invention relates to an organic polymer having, as the main repeating unit, the compound represented by the general formula: ##STR1## (wherein, m and n respectively show the molar fraction of quinonediimine structure unit and phenylenediamine structure unit in the repeating unit, and 0
Abstract:
Four compact disks (CDs) and one laser disk (LD) are placed in a tray having a plurality of disk receiving sections and moved through a disk supplying opening into a disk player housing. In accordance with the desired input to the disk player, a disk holder is directed to a desired disk receiving position via a swinging arm device which supports the disk holder and places the desired disk in the disk playing position.
Abstract:
An organic polymer solution comprising an organic solvent and, dissolved therein,(a) an organic polymer which has an imino-p-phenylene structural unit of the formula ##STR1## as a major repeating unit and is organic solvent-soluble, (b) a protonic acid having a pK.sub.a value of 4.8 or less or a derivative thereof,(c) at least one member selected from the group consisting of an oxidizing agent which does not have oxidizing ability at ordinary temperature but has oxidizing ability at temperatures not lower than 60.degree. C., and an oxidation catalyst.
Abstract:
A conducting organic polymer battery is disclosed, which comprises a cathode comprising a conducting organic polymer doped with a polymer anion having a number of anionic groups in the molecule thereof, an anode comprising a metal having a redox potential lower than that of the conducting organic polymer, and an electrolyte solution or a solid electrolyte as an ion conductive phase. In the battery, the ion concentration in an electrolyte solution does not substantially change during charging and discharging.
Abstract:
A white or grayish white substance can be formed by dipping, in the first step, aluminum or an aluminum alloy having an anodically oxidized film in a first solution containing a specific salt or electrolyzing with said first solution, thereby causing the product from this salt to enter into the micropore of said film and then, in the subsequent second step, dipping the product from the first step in a second solution containing a substance which reacts with the product from the salt to be converted into a white or grayish white compound or electrolyzing with said second solution.
Abstract:
A selective permeable membrane comprising a polyquinazolone-based polymer including a repeating unit represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a tetravalent aromatic group, R.sup.2a and R.sup.2b are each independently, an alkyl group or aromatic group, and R.sup.3 is a divalent organic group.
Abstract:
In a system of controlling the operation of a plant by using a digital computer, operation control procedures are classified according to various states of the plant process variables. The control procedures comprise essential break points of the plant running, and process controlling operations, process supervision operations, information display operations and other processings related to the Tables corresponding to the operation control procedures are prepared containing classified items which are described according to a predetermined format. The contents of the tables are converted into machine words and stored in the memory device of the computer. The computer is provided with means responsive to a changed process signal from the plant for selecting a table corresponding to the changed process signal (representing a changed state) to form an operating signal which is used to control the plant. There is also provided means for displaying and modifying the content of a selected table. This permits ready modification or addition to the tables by the computer itself.
Abstract:
A selective permeable membrane having self-supporting property which comprises a polyimide polymer consisting essentially of a repeating unit of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R is a divalent organic group, and a process for preparing the same.
