Abstract: A hearing aid, in particular a BTE hearing aid, includes a base part and an ear hook which can be attached to the base part. In an assembled state, the base part and the ear hook are connected by a nozzle and a receptacle. A sound channel runs through the nozzle. The nozzle has a circumferential outer wall and the receptacle has a circumferential inner wall. In the assembled state, a circumferential sealing ring having a thickness is disposed between the outer wall and the inner wall. The sealing ring lies in particular in an annular groove and the inner wall preferably has two reduction sections which compress the sealing ring.

Abstract: A hearing aid system assists a user's ability to hear. The system has a hearing aid instrument worn on the user's head. A sound signal from the user's surroundings is recorded and converted into input audio signals by two input transducers. The input audio signals are processed in a signal processing step for generating an output audio signal, which is output by an output transducer. The input audio signals or audio signals derived therefrom by pre-processing are direction-dependently damped by an adaptive beamformer according to the stipulation of a variable directivity with a directional strength to generate a directed audio signal. The directivity is varied with a specified adaptation speed such that the energy content of the directed audio signal is minimized. The adaptation speed and/or the directional strength are variably set on a basis of an analysis of the input audio signals or of the pre-processed audio signals.

Abstract: A hearing aid system for assisting a user's ability to hear includes at least one hearing aid instrument worn on the user's head. A sound signal from the surroundings is recorded and converted into input audio signals by input transducers of the hearing aid system. The hearing aid system includes two adaptive beamformers with variable notch direction, applied indirectly or directly to the input audio signals to generate direction-dependently damped audio signals. The notch directions are set to mutually different values to minimize the energy content of the direction-dependently damped audio signal of each beamformer. The notch directions of the two beamformers are evaluated in comparative fashion. A user's head rotation is captured qualitatively and/or quantitatively if a correlated change in the notch directions is determined within the scope of the comparative evaluation. A method for operating the hearing aid system is also provided.

Abstract: A method for operating a hearing device is specified. The hearing device has at least one microphone that picks up an input sound signal and converts it into an electrical input signal. The hearing device has a signal processing section that modifies the electrical input signal on the basis of an audiogram of a user and thereby generates a first electrical output signal. The hearing device has an active noise reduction system that generates a second electrical output signal in order to reject a noise component. Abstract: A battery module for a hearing device includes a secondary cell and two contact elements for making contact with the secondary cell at two different potential areas. A fuse which is arranged at a short distance from the contact element that is assigned to a positive potential. A copper jacket surrounds the secondary cell, and a ferrite jacket is arranged on the outside of the copper jacket. An induction coil is arranged on the outside of the ferrite jacket and is configured to inductively receive energy for charging the battery module. A thermistor for monitoring a cell temperature is arranged with electrical insulation from the secondary cell but is coupled to the latter with low thermal resistance using heat-transfer capability.

Abstract: A method operates a hearing system that has a first input transducer, a second input transducer and a signal processing device. An activity of a lateral useful signal source in an environment of the hearing system is ascertained by a first input signal being generated via an acoustic signal that impinges on the first input transducer, and a second input signal being generated via the acoustic signal that impinges on the second input transducer. A measure for attenuation that the directional notch filter causes is ascertained based on the filtered input signal and on the first and/or second input signals. The measure is compared with a reference, and from this comparison, the presence or absence of activity of the lateral useful signal source in the surroundings is inferred.
