Abstract:
In one aspect a method of estimating a property of interest of a formation is provided, which method in one embodiment may include: injecting nanoexplosive elements into the formation, detecting signals responsive to explosion of the nanoexplosive elements by one or more sensors, and processing the detected signals by a processor to estimate the property of interest of the formation.
Abstract:
Multicast traffic received by a subnet that uses IGMP/PIM snooping may be efficiently processed so that only required multicast router interfaces are used. A router may, for example, receive a source-specific PIM join/prune message indicating that a multicast receiver of the multicast traffic is to join/leave a multicast group to receive/stop traffic from a multicast source; determine whether the router is a first hop router relative to a subnet of the multicast source; and forward, when the router is a first hop router relative to the subnet of the multicast source and is a non-designated router, the source-specific PIM join/prune message towards the subnet.
Abstract:
An apparatus for forming a wellbore in a formation may include a bit body and a sensor in the bit body. The sensor may include at least one cutting element and may be configured to generate information relating to a parameter of interest when the drill bit engages a wellbore surface.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for estimating a parameter of interest in a downhole fluid using fluid testing module. The fluid testing module may include: a substrate comprising at least one microconduit, and a sensor. The sensor may be disposed within the at least one microconduit or external. The apparatus may include a fluid transporter for moving fluid within the microconduit. The method includes estimating a parameter of interest using the fluid testing module.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a novel pharmaceutical composition consisting of a combination of three coumarinolignoids of formula 1, 2 and 3 isolated from the seeds of the plant Cleome viscosa along with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier useful as a immunomodulator. The invention also describes the ability of the compounds to modulate humorral and cell mediated immune response. It further provides a process for the preparation of a novel pharmaceutical composition of the said three coumarinolignoids in an optimized ratio to modulate humorral and cell mediated immune response.
Abstract:
A heat pump liquid heater (HPLH) system coupled to an array of photovoltaic cells that operate at enhanced efficiency is disclosed. The HPLH system comprises a panel or a box structure coupled to the HPLH. The box structure supports an array of photovoltaic cells and a circulation mechanism. The HPLH generates a coolant as a by-product using ambient air and electric power. The coolant that is circulated around the photovoltaic cells may extract the heat generated by the photovoltaic cells and the temperature of the photovoltaic cells may decrease to a specific level or maintained within an allowable temperature range. The reduction in temperature causes the photovoltaic cells to operate with enhanced efficiency and may generate more electric power. The size of the panel or the number of photovoltaic cells required to generate a required power may be reduced that reduces the cost of the HPLH system.
Abstract:
According to one aspect of the present invention, an accessory for an aerosol inhalation system includes a main conduit body having an outlet end for placement close to a mouth of a patient, and first and second leg conduits that are in fluid communication with the main conduit body. The accessory further includes a holding chamber having a first compartment and a second compartment separated from the first compartment, with the first compartment being sealingly and fluidly coupled to the one port associated with the first leg conduit and the second compartment is sealingly and fluidly coupled to a port associated with the second leg conduit. An arrangement of valves is provided for directing fluid along prescribed flow paths depending on whether the patient inhales or exhales.
Abstract:
A portable tracing utility provides trace configuration, trace instrumentation and trace management functionality for single or multithreaded programs. Through various application programming interfaces (“APIs”) of the tracing utility, a client may control tracing behavior to setup in-memory data structures for storing trace records that record the program's history of execution or to alter the granularity of execution history being traced. The trace behavior can be modified during the life of a program by using the APIs, either dynamically when the program assumes certain states, or through remote procedure calls issued by, for example, an external interface. Programs are instrumented with these APIs to record the history of execution, which during execution of the program is stored in circular in-memory buffers.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of Montelukast or a salt thereof comprises, i) condensing Methyl-2-[3-[3-(2-(7-chloroquinolin-2-yl)ethenyl]phenyl]-3-chloro propyljbenzoate obtained above with 1-(mercaptomethyl)cyclopropane acetic acid in presence of alkali carbonates such as Cesium Carbonate, followed by salification with organic amine ii) neutralizing the organic amine salt as obtained above with organic/inorganic acid followed by reaction with methylmagnesium chloride in the presence of Cerium Chloride followed by treatment with organic base yields montelukast amine salt iii) converting the montelukast amine salt to Montelukast Free acid iv) saltification of Montelukast free acid with Sodium hydroxide affords Montelukast Sodium.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for providing an aggregated account metering system to a computer network service provider resulting in comprehensive detailed subscriber accounting records. Accounting start-stop event data is retrieved from accounting servers. The accounting records are parsed to a first adapter where they are then published on an active information bus. Network flow data is collected from routers throughout the packet switch network environment by network flow collectors. The collectors serve to aggregate and, optionally, filter the flow data. The network flow data is parsed to a second adapter where it is then published on an active information bus. An integrating accounting adapter subscribes to and collects accounting event data and network flow data and correlates this data into a detailed call record that is formatted as desired.
