    摘要: Disclosed embodiments include a system and method for adapting a wireless device, such as a Bluetooth-enabled mobile device or other Bluetooth-enabled device to a hands-free car kit or similar system. The adapter module is physically configured so that it can be inserted directly into the cradle in place of the phone. Once inserted into the cradle, the adapter module makes electrical contact with the connector in the cradle with a matching connector on one side of the adapter module. The mated connectors provide power to the adapter module and bi-directional communications between the adapter module and the hands-free car kit. The adapter module includes circuitry for communicating with the Bluetooth-enabled mobile device and the hands-free car kit in order to exchange communications signals between the Bluetooth-enabled mobile device and the hands-free car kit.

    摘要: A digital electronic message comprising datawords to be transmitted in a communications system can be encoded prior to transmission using an asymmetric error detection coding scheme. The coding scheme is asymmetric because the coding scheme includes multiple codeword groups each with a different minimum coding distance. The codewords in a group having a greater minimum coding distance can correspond to datawords that have a relatively high susceptibility to transmission errors. The codewords in a group having a lesser minimum coding distance can correspond to datawords that have a relatively low susceptibility to transmission errors.

    摘要: A method of forming a clear ink jet coating or a colored ink jet image on a substrate is disclosed. The coating or colored image provides antibacterial and antifungal protection. The method includes providing a source of ink jet ink having a mixture of solvent and a silver salt biocide including a silver sulfate biocide having a concentration range of 0.0005 to 0.5 weight %, applying the clear ink or colored ink in an image wise fashion to a substrate, and fixing the clear or colored ink to the substrate whereby an effective coating or image article is formed that provides antibacterial and antifungal protection.
