摘要: Disclosed embodiments include a system and method for adapting a wireless device, such as a Bluetooth-enabled mobile device or other Bluetooth-enabled device to a hands-free car kit or similar system. The adapter module is physically configured so that it can be inserted directly into the cradle in place of the phone. Once inserted into the cradle, the adapter module makes electrical contact with the connector in the cradle with a matching connector on one side of the adapter module. The mated connectors provide power to the adapter module and bi-directional communications between the adapter module and the hands-free car kit. The adapter module includes circuitry for communicating with the Bluetooth-enabled mobile device and the hands-free car kit in order to exchange communications signals between the Bluetooth-enabled mobile device and the hands-free car kit.

摘要: Branched polyethylenes of density up to about 0.875 g/cc are used as a component in articles that can be pressure-sealed and unsealed repeatedly. Such articles include multilayer films that contain the branched polyethylene and another thermoplastic and pressure-resealable closures comprising a sealing surface that comprises the branched polyethylene and a sealing surface that comprises a thermoplastic. The multilayer film and closures are particularly useful in packaging, especially plastic packaging, such as bags, pouches, and vacuum skin packaging, to package a large variety of goods.

摘要: An instrument for achieving rapid hemostasis at the conclusion of a catheterization procedure comprising a hemostatic agent injection device for use with a conventional introducer sheath used to gain access to the blood vessel. The injection device includes an elongated tubular member having ejection ports proximate its distal end. A hub member includes an elongated groove or track located in its surface with a transparent cover. The enclosed track is sealed from the lumen extending through the tubular member with a compliant membrane and filled with a predetermined amount of fluid. After the catheterization procedure, the device is inserted into the introducer sheath. Blood flows into the lumen of the device and pulsates against the compliant membrane. The fluid in the track pulsates within the enclosed track, clearly indicating that the ports are located in the blood vessel and subjected to variations in blood pressure. The instrument and introducer sheath are then slowly retracted as a unit in the puncture wound. The blood flow will stop pulsating against the compliant membrane when the ports have exited the blood vessel wall. A hemostatic agent is then injected by the instrument adjacent the vessel wall.
