Abstract:
A computerized method accesses information on the Internet from a network server using an electronic device. An initial viewable area of a webpage to be displayed on a display screen is calculated, when the electronic device requests to access the webpage using a web browser. Information within the initial viewable area of the webpage is requested and displayed on the display screen through the web browser. Movements of a horizontal scrollbar and a vertical scrollbar of the web browser are monitored in real-time. A current viewable area of the webpage is calculated when a movement of the horizontal scrollbar or the vertical scrollbar is monitored. Information within the current viewable area of the webpage is requested from the network server to update information displayed on the display screen.
Abstract:
The invention is directed to methods and kits that allow for classification of non-small cell lung carcinoma tumors and cell lines according to genomic profiles, and methods of diagnosing, predicting clinical outcomes, and stratifying patient populations for clinical testing and treatment using the same.
Abstract:
The disclosure provides a single logon system for accessing different applications and a method for single logon. Before a client accesses an application, the system determines whether a valid session of the client has been stored. When there is a stored valid session of the client, the client can logon and access the application, or the client must input a legal user name and a legal password to access the application, and the system creates a session and save the session associated with the client. Therefore, when there is a stored valid session, the client can directly access other applications and does not input the user name and the password.
Abstract:
A remote monitoring system includes a network server for communicating with a portable terminal, which sends a request or a remote operation command in response to an user's input. The network server includes a display device, an analyzing unit, a control unit, and a streaming media unit. The analyzing unit receives and analyzes the request to determine a request event. The streaming media unit captures an images of the real time screen of the display device in response to a command generated by the control unit, encodes the captured image, and sends the encoded image to the portable terminal The portable terminal decodes the captured image and displays the decoded image thereon. A related method is also provided.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a webpage design system including a storage and a processor. The storage stores a number of ActiveX controls, a number of ActiveX control description files each describing a corresponding one ActiveX control, and a number of modules. The modules include instructions executable by the processor to provide a webpage interface for a user to design a webpage. The webpage interface includes an ActiveX control option for the user to select at least one desired ActiveX control. The modules further include instructions executable by the processor to position the selected ActiveX control in a designed webpage under construction, provide a search interface for the user to input a description of a desired function, and search in the ActiveX control description files according to the description to determine whether at least one ActiveX control having the desired function exists in the storage.
Abstract:
A method for managing data in a database includes loading data in a database to an office software based document template pre-configured in a server to generate a corresponding office software based document, and modifying and updating the data in the database through implementing a program by use of the office software based document.
Abstract:
A video playing device includes a playing unit, a selection unit, a comparison unit, and an acquisition unit. The playing unit is adapted to play a video stored in a memory which is further used for storing a unique identifier of each frame of the video. The selection unit selects two sequential frames of the video from the memory. The comparison unit compares the two selected sequential frame to determine whether the two selected sequential frames are the same, and generates an acquisition signal when it is determined that the two selected sequential frames are not the same. The acquisition unit acquires the unique identifiers of the selected frames from the memory in response to the acquisition signal. The playing unit is further adapted to play the video stored in the memory according to the acquired unique identifiers.
Abstract:
An electronic device tester is connected to an electronic device needed to be tested. A test program is stored in a data storage of the tester. The test program comprises a number of test instructions. The tester encapsulates the test instructions of the test program to a number of script files, stores the script files to the data storage, and records a name of each script file to the test program. After the test instruction is encapsulated, the tester selects desired script files of the test program and calls the selected script files according to the names of the script files to implement the test program to test the electronic device.
Abstract:
A method of accessing a data storage device, the method including: transforming a first key to obtain a second key; assigning the second key to a logical unit of data of the data storage device; and using the second key to read data from the data storage device or to write data to the data storage device.
Abstract:
Disclosed are methods for identifying early-stage non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients who will have an unfavorable prognosis for the recurrence of lung cancer after surgical resection. The methods are based in part on the discovery that chromosomal copy number gains at Chr19, 34.7 Mb-35.6 Mb can be used for prognostic classification. The methods preferably use fluorescence in situ hybridization with fluorescently labeled nucleic acid probes to hybridize to patient samples to quantify the chromosomal copy number of this genetic locus.
