Abstract:
A video conference method, applied to a video conference system in a multi-way conference is provided. The video conference method includes: retrieving a first number of a plurality of terminals of the multi-way conference; determining whether at least one other terminal is requiring to join in on the multi-way conference; when the at least one other terminal is requiring to join in on the multi-way conference, increasing the first number of the terminals of the multi-way conference to a second number of the terminals; and determining a resolution of the video signal captured and transmitted by the video conference system according to the second number of the terminals. A video conference system using the video conference method, is also provided.
Abstract:
A video conference system built in an internet protocol (IP) network is provided. The system has: a multimedia capturing unit configured to photograph and output a first video signal; a DECT telephone configured to receive sounds and output a first audio signal; and a video conference terminal apparatus, including: an audio processing unit is an audio codec; a video processing unit is an video codec; and a network processing unit for transmitting a first network packet consisting of first audio/video streams generated by the audio/video processing units to the IP network, wherein the network processing unit receives a second network packet consisting of second audio/video streams from the IP network, wherein the second audio/video streams are decoded by the audio/video processing units, respectively, to generate second audio/video signals, which are displayed on the DECT telephone and a display apparatus, respectively.
Abstract:
A voice/video communication system is disclosed. The system includes a caller having a first PSTN subsystem and a first data subsystem, and a callee, wherein the first data subsystem encodes the caller's public IP address/port into a first key sequence and triggers the first PSTN system to send first audio coding representing the first key sequence to the callee.
Abstract:
A logging system and method based on a one-way hash function are described. The system includes a user system, a trusted third party, and a verifier. The method includes the following steps. The user system records a log file and initializes a message authentication code key and an image code. When the verifier requests the user system for a logging unit corresponding to an operation history, the user system uses a one-way hash function to calculate a check value and returns the check value and an image code sequence. The verifier then verifies the integrity of the check value and the image code sequence through the trusted third party. The trusted third party checks if the image code sequence obtained by the hash calculation equals to the check value through the one-way hash function, so as to verify that the log file of the user system has not been modified.
Abstract:
A method is provided for purifying protein having steps of loading a sample containing proteins into a column containing an ion exchanger in a first direction to allow the ion exchanger to absorb proteins; and passing a salt solution through the column in a second direction opposite to the first direction to elute a target protein from the ion exchanger. The method is proven as capable of improving homogeneity of eluted target protein without combining minute and complicated techniques for protein purification. Therefore, the method is convenient, efficient and economic for purifying proteins.

Methods and compositions for treating and/or preventing hyperuricemia or metabolic disorders associated with hyperuricemia comprising administering to a patient in need a therapeutically effective amount of diacerein, rhein, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, an analog, a prodrug, or an active metabolite thereof.
Abstract:
A termination structure for a power transistor includes a semiconductor substrate having an active region and a termination region. The substrate has a first type of conductivity. A termination trench is located in the termination region and extends from a boundary of the active region to within a certain distance of an edge of the semiconductor substrate. A doped region has a second type of conductivity disposed in the substrate below the termination trench. A MOS gate is formed on a sidewall adjacent the boundary. The doped region extends from below a portion of the MOS gate spaced apart from the boundary toward a remote sidewall of the termination trench. A termination structure oxide layer is formed on the termination trench and covers a portion of the MOS gate and extends toward the edge of the substrate. A first conductive layer is formed on a backside surface of the semiconductor substrate. A second conductive layer is formed atop the active region, an exposed portion of the MOS gate, and extends to cover at least a portion of the termination structure oxide layer.
Abstract:
The invention discloses a communication system for assisting a user for retrieving geography-associated multimedia information, and the communication system comprises a data processing device and several mobile communication devices. The data processing device receives a first request information including a location term and a time term from a terminal device of the user, and broadcasting a second request information, based on the time term, to the mobile communication devices located within a region relative to the location term. The data processing device receives responding messages and captured audio and/or video data from the mobile communication devices accepting the second request information, and transmitting a location-related information to the terminal device based on the responding messages. The user transmits responding information responsive to the location-related information to the data processing device via the terminal device. The data processing device transmits the captured audio and/or video data (representative of the retrieved geography-associated multimedia information) relative to the responding information to the terminal device.
Abstract:
