Abstract: A method performed by a user equipment (UE) for enhanced radio resource management (RRM) includes communicating, to an access node, a capability of the UE to support bandwidth part (BWP) without restriction. The UE determines that a synchronization signal block (SSB) is outside a downlink (DL) BWP configured for the UE. Based on determining that the SSB is outside the DL BWP configured for the UE, at least one radio frequency (RF) communication parameter of the UE is adjusted to adjust an operating bandwidth of the UE, and the SSB is received using the adjusted operating bandwidth.

In one example, a method involves receiving, by the UE and from the source node, a RACH-498 handover message comprising: (i) an uplink grant for establishing a connection with the target node, and (ii) an identifier of a reference signal associated with a beam of the target node. The method also involves performing, by the UE, a handover based on the RACH-less handover message.

Abstract: A method for enhanced autonomous uplink timing adjustment includes determining that a user equipment (UE) is traveling above a predetermined velocity. In response to the determination that the UE is traveling above the predetermined velocity, a maximum aggregate adjustment rate to an uplink timing for the UE and a maximum amount of a magnitude of a timing change to the uplink timing for the UE are determined. The uplink timing for the UE is adjusted based on the maximum aggregate adjustment rate and the maximum amount of the magnitude of the timing change.

Abstract: The exemplary embodiments describe devices, systems and methods for adaptive uplink (UL) timing adjustment for beam switching. A user equipment (UE) may perform a beam switch from a first beam to a second beam, determine a timing offset associated with the second beam and apply an uplink (UL) timing adjustment based on the timing offset associated with the second beam. In some embodiments, the timing offset may be determined based on information received after the beam switch. In other embodiments, the timing offset may be determined based on information receive prior to the beam switch.

Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus is provided for performing testing using arrival of angles (AOA). The system, method, and apparatus can receive a first test signal from a first cell; receive a second test signal from a second cell; and perform a test based on AOA of the first test signal and the second test signal. At least one of the first test signal and the second test signal can include a channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) signal or a synchronization signal block (SSB) signal. The first test signal can include a different number of SSBs transmitted during an Measurement Timing Configuration (MTC) window when compared to the second test signal. The system, method, and apparatus can receive the first test signal and the second test signal in a time division multiple access (TDMA) manner. The first cell can include a serving cell and the second cell can include a neighboring cell of the serving cell. The system, method, and apparatus can receive the first test signal using a main lobe of an antenna and the second test signal using a side lobe of the antenna.

Abstract: Some embodiments of this disclosure include systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media for use in a wireless network for radio link monitoring for high speed user equipment (UE). For example, some embodiments are directed to a user equipment (UE) including radio front end circuitry and processor circuitry coupled to the radio front end circuitry. The processor circuitry can be configured to monitor a downlink associated with a cell using a reference signal and estimate a downlink radio link quality associated with the downlink. The processor circuitry can further be configured to compare the estimated downlink radio link quality with a threshold. The processor circuitry can further be configured to trigger an out-of-sync operation in response to the downlink radio link quality being worse than the threshold. The threshold can include a value less than 10%.

Abstract: A base station includes a transceiver and a processor. The processor is configured to transmit a first synchronization signal block (SSB) burst including a first set of SSBs. The processor is also configured to, at least one of periodically or based on an event reported by a body proximity sensor (BPS), determine the duty cycle for transmission in the uplink direction for the at least one resource indicator of the set of resource indicators; and transmit, to the base station via using the transceiver, the determined duty cycle and the corresponding at least one resource indicator of the set of resource indicators according to the received configuration for reporting the duty cycle.
